This brewery has great and well-maintained beers. The Serbian brewmaster experiments with ingredients very successfully, and the results are truly worth it. The very friendly female staff in the tap room will eagerly explain everything to you and provide descriptions, and you’ll also receive two free samples for tasting. Tourists visit here very frequently. Unfortunately, as a homebrewer and beer enthusiast, I was not allowed to visit the brewery, which I found very disappointing. The absence of draft beers was also a letdown. Furthermore, I did not understand the brewery’s pricing policy at all; all the beers in the brewery are about 15-20% more expensive than ever smallest minimarket in Santorini, which I would have expected to be the other way around. Moreover, the prices here seem really inflated to me.
What better way to have a break from the hot santorini sun than to stop at the most famous local brewery. The staff are super friendly (one American one Swiss from what I can tell) the beers are great, they have everything from Lager, pale ale, to a red and a stout.
Sadly beer is the only thing on the menu so if your partner or friend doesn’t drink beer they’re out of luck (not even bottled water).
Overall worth a visit for the vibe and the good beer! Yamas!
Lovely little brewery! The first IPA in all of Greece. The bottom level is for brewing so all tasting and sitting is upstairs. Gorgeous view of mountains, friendly staff, great prices. Really recommend!
Super cute brewery with some delicious local brews. Love the mascot the donkey. Has lots of t-shirts and gifts if you’re interested.
What an awesome experience here! We did a tasting of Lazy Ass, Red Donkey, and Crazy Donkey. That was a complimentary tasting which was great! Then we stuck around and enjoyed a White Donkey Weissbier and Salty Donkey Gose Style Beer. (Sour)
A craft brewery on the island is so amazing but people wonder why the price is so high. It’s because the lack of fresh water on the island. So the process is expensive to get the water to where they need it for the brew process. Not to mention the islands aren’t exactly ideal growing regions so many ingredients are imported.
The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The Donkey signifies the hard work of the animal that literally is responsible for putting the construction of the entire island on their backs! The work horse so to speak.
Definitely worth stopping in here for a visit and tasting!!!
