  1. Amazing view of the east side of the island. We hiked up on the official trail from Firogia which took us about 40 minutes and was doable even in flip flops, though not ideal. The only downside was the hiking trail was full of spider webs, and even though I armed myself with a mighty stick to make way for my lady and bravely remove the webbings between the bushes blocking the trail every few minutes, I still ended up with 2-3 webs right in my face, and possibily some spiders as well.
    Summing up:
    View from the top: 5/5
Spiders on the hiking trail: 0/5
Overall: 5/5 because the Church spot really is beautiful and I might even turn into Spiderman later today

  2. Ancient era Sifnos is not well know which makes the visit well worth. Entrance is affordable (2€ in 2017) and walking around the Acropolis can be overwhelming if one considers its age and the people who lived there. Also, the view is absolutely breathtaking!

  3. Be sure to make the effort to visit! There is a bus that goes from Appolonia three times/week (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday), which returns just over an hour later. That is enough time to view the wonderful archaeological collection in the on site museum, and then to tour the Acropolis and monastery. The view is remarkably stunning and beautiful.
