  1. Beautiful! Kamares harbour, Apollonia, Kastro, Platious Gialos and more. Lots of lovely villages, which can be reached by a very good, cheap bus service.
It lived up to it’s foody reputation.
In Appolonia, there’s an historic patisserie/restaurant by the bus stop by Mama Mias – absolutely wonderful.

  2. Best place on our 10 day / three island trip. This is a great place to relax. The island is quiet and that’s what we needed. You will absolutely need to rent a car. The port is the best place – if not the only place to rent. The stone walls that you will see are things that you need to investigate. People are very friendly and accommodating.

We stayed three days in Faros just north of Platis Gialos. At the Kavos Studios….. and I can’t say enough great things about the accommodations and the wonderful hosts. Family run, great views – you need to check it out.

Lots of trails to walk with excellent Mediterranean views. Recommended this island and it’s people.

  3. Some of the best beaches to be enjoyed in the Cyclades. Quite accessible even without car, lots of sandy bays that cater to both families and adults, plus a decent night life (no crazy clubbing though). Come for the traditional dishes and the sea, stay for the good atmosphere that can offer something for everyone.

  4. One of the beautiful island of Cyclades, with beaches which have clear and crystal waters (some of them are accesible only by boat). It has also pretty nice traditional villages with good accomodation, food and drink options. It is a pretty popular destination during the summer season.
