  1. No longer Apokofto Tavern – but simply Tsakis. Wonderful for a mid afternoon Alpha draught between swims on Apokofto beach – which is literally right there. Not just a beer stop either. We had an excellent lunch of super-fresh calimari, beautifully mandolined fried courgette (as opposed to the traditional Sifnos patty) in the lightest of oils, and generous Greek salad. A very friendly bunch of staff and owners. Do check first if you’re planning supper here, as it’s also a very popular wedding venue and is often booked out on weekends. Excellent value too. Lovely spot.

  2. Waited and waited after we ordered our meal. Owner kept telling us our food was on the grill for over 40 minutes. Never got it. Asked for check and had to pay for food we never got. Only bad experience in many islands all over Greece.

  3. What a disaster! only go for comedic value, the Fawlty towers of Greece.
We sat… we waited, while I watched others wait and become agitated.
What the food is like I do not know because although we we’re acknowledged twice we were never server, and after 45mins we left thirsty and hungry.
Perhaps it was high season pressure, but in the business of hospitality this business is an outstanding failure.
