Called in to Zorbas in Afandou as it’s relatively new in town. We were greeted by friendly helpful owner and staff. We had a couple of drinks and some starter plates of stuffed peppers, octopus, zucchini and calimari. All of which were beautifully cooked.
This is exactly the type of place Afandou needs a friendly meeting place with top notch food.
Also nice seating outside for hot summer nights.
We will definitely be returning
We stumbled across Zorba’s on Google, and decided to give it a try – and we’re so glad we did! It was a delightfully personal service, with the chef talking to us and recommending the €19-a-head Mezze. Our party-of-eight absolutely demolished it, but couldn’t finish it all the way to the end of the seemingly endless courses being brought out!
All-in-all, we loved it so much we returned 2 nights later as our final meal before leaving; this time 2 of us opted for the Poseidon sharer platter, which was utterly devine.
Cannot recommend a visit to Zorba’s highly enough – and ask for the Mezze!
Fantastic place to eat, we visited last night and will be back soon. Tuna Steak was perfect, big portion. Great to see that they cater for gluten free. Very friendly owner and waitress, made us feel welcome. Highly recommended, 5 stars.
We visited the small restaurant just before the final game from european football finals. The owner and the waitress were extremely kind and very helpful. Quick drinks from the home wine with very tasty mezes. Especially the handmade hummus was excellent. The meat is prepared in front of you from the owner and can say it was well cooked and served. Big portions on a very reasonable price for this fast food restaurant, can only be recommended.
