All facilities are good. Shower is good. Aircon is fantastic.
Some things were not as advertised on the TUI website such as free sun loungers on the beach (€5pp), also had to pay €2.50 per day for the use of the safe in the room.
Overall still very happy.
The positive first: The hotel is only a few hundred meters away from the Tigaki beach. Access to the beach via the driveway about 3 minutes walk.
Otherwise the hotel is more like a 3 star hotel. 4 stars are not appropriate. This starts with the fact that there is not even shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom and not even a bottle of water when you arrive. Instead, despite all inclusive, you should buy everything extra in the hotel’s own shop. For me an absolute no go for a hotel that wants 4 stars. Simply absurd and proof that the hotel is extremely stingy and tries to earn a few euros with what is taken for granted.
Unfortunately, things are now getting worse. The only restaurant in
Hotel is completely closed. The terrace, which is very spacious and shady, may not be used for eating during the main meals, because the staff does not want to serve on the terrace, they do not serve anyway, only used dishes are cleared away.
The crowning glory, however, is the restaurant boss: the personified rudeness! His job is to greet the guests. He just about manages that. But woe to a guest who dares to come into the restaurant shortly before the end of the limited buffet times, then he will show his true face! Then the guest is snapped at in such an unfriendly tone, and unfriendly pointed out that the buffet is about to close, that one would like to leave, which is probably the intention of the restaurant chef.
As a guest, you have the impression that the restaurant manager works for the railway company, the light is switched off at the minute and regardless of whether guests want to take something else, the cutlery is simply cleared away so that nobody can get anything anymore!
Unbelievable and unbeatable in terms of unfriendliness and unprofessionalism! The same goes for the service. This one deserves 0 stars. One can hardly speak of service, because all the staff does is clear plates. This is truly an outstanding achievement and second to none.
The hotel manager seems to be just as unprofessional as the restaurant chef, because the first time I complained and asked to speak to the manager, he was not available. However, in the days that followed, no one reported
Hotel management with me. Complaint management is a foreign concept at this unprofessional hotel.
It happened the way it had to. On the last evening, the situation escalated verbally and there was a violent and loud verbal argument between the extremely unfriendly restaurant manager and me as a hotel guest. Again the hotel manager was unavailable. A poor hotel employee had to serve to mediate. He tried his best, but unfortunately he couldn’t save the hotel’s reputation given the unspeakable behavior of the restaurant manager.
Due to the absolutely unspeakable conditions regarding the hotel restaurant, I unfortunately have to downgrade the hotel to not recommended. I can’t in good conscience recommend anyone to rent there. A feeling of well-being and carefree enjoyment of the holiday is hardly possible with such lousy service in the restaurant. The rest of the staff was friendly, but unfortunately the behavior of the restaurant chef is ruining the hotel’s reputation and management is doing nothing about it.
I came away from this beach feeling like I’d been to a spa. Beds so comfortable, view is to die for. Sea so inviting. We both loved it and are deffo going back.
Absolutely loved the stay! Nice staff, great food. The hotel was most likely fully booked out, still wasn’t to full. Privat Beach very close by (2min walk). 2 Beach chairs and 1 umbrella cost 8€ a day at the reception or 5€ per person at the very lovely old dude who oversights the beach. Renting car, bike, motorbike, quad possible. Music at the bar is played all day but subtle. Even when check out at 12 you can still book a free shower for 30min. For 10€ deposit you can get two beach towels. Rooms refreshed daily. All in all highly recommend. Thinking about going again in October.
Probably the best beach in Kos, at least this is what the locals say. It is ideal for children because it is a wide and long beach with a slow slope into the water. The water it is calm and certainly warmer than on the eastern part of the island. Of course if there was a high wind at large, there will be some debris on the shore. That’s one of the reasons why people should not throw plastic into the sea. I got a minor cut at a foot into one of this debris.
