  1. Terrible rooms. Run down building and smell of drains in rooms. Flies cover the breakfast area as no lids are put on the food. Definitely not 4 star. More like a third world hostel.

The restaurant food is great and nice view at the bar with good service there. Really the only positive I can give. Don’t waste your money coming here.

  2. Booked Thalassa Skiathos based on the ‘4 star’ hotel review and also the wonderful photos. Well was i in for a rude awakening. We needed to book two seperate rooms for 4 nights due to low availability. This we knew and i was comfortable with. Night one was to be in one room, with the additional three nights in another. We walked into the first room having noticed a cob web very visible and cleaning to be less than satisfactory. (Picture attached). We then moved into our second room, which again seemed to follow the trend of substandard cleanliness and a toilet seat with visible scratch marks throughout, and a shower that leaked water everywhere. We were told two weeks before our stay that for the final night we would be upgraded to an ‘Executive Room’. We walked into not only a far smaller room, however an even smaller bathroom than the last two rooms stayed in which were meant to be less in price. (Photo below). I phoned reception asking for a room change noting we had not complained once throughout. A supervisor was advised to which due to limited availability could not be changed (noting there was availability at Thalassa Cape according to the website). I then asked for a 50% refund for the evening given we did not ask for this room change, the hotel changed this on us despite this booking being set some months ago. This the supervisor also denied this, to which i advised i would be writing a review to notify other potential travellers to proceed on caution. Ultimately, the pool is far smaller than pictured, overall cleanliness is less than ‘4 star’, bathrooms need major renovations and not located as anticipated in the town centre at all.

  3. Just spent 10 lovely days here. ALL of the staff were courteous, helpful and always smiling, especially the breakfast guys and receptionists. Location was fantastic and I so miss the breakfast views now I’m back home to reality. Would highly recommend.

  4. A lovely hotel in a great, beachfront location & just 10mins walk to Skiathos town.
Service from all staff is excellent.
The beachfront bar/ restaurant is lovely with a truly great outlook. The menus are ok, although somewhat limited (& don’t expect large portions) & a tad pricier than other nearby eateries, but the decor & service is obviously an influence on that.
The buffet style breakfast has a decent range of foods & drinks.

  5. My partner and I booked this resort for 4 days in Jan 2023 and we were advised that we would need to change rooms once to accommodate our duration in Skiathos. Afterwards, we were also told that we would be receiving a free upgrade to an executive suite which we gladly accepted based on the photos on the website. To start off with the two different deluxe/ superior rooms we stayed in. We weren’t happy about cleanliness and safety but just accepted it. I will admit the deluxe room and bathrooms were quite spacious. However, in the first room we stayed there were cobwebs in the corners and the drainage/ shower grates kept popping out where you could easily slip which could happen quite easily with the elderly and kids because the showers aren’t sealed properly so water ended up everywhere and not to mention the shower grate are large enough for a child to put their whole arm in. In the second room, there were no cobwebs but the drainage grates had the same issues and concerns and the toilet seat was broken and had multiple blackouts. We were happy to let all these issues go by without saying anything until we arrived in the “executive” suite which I regrettably not take photos of. Let’s just say the bedroom is the same size as the deluxe but the bathrooms are so cramped that as a 6 foot 1 man my knees were touching the wall when sitting on the toilet. The only one positive is that the drainage/ shower grates did not move and the toilet seat wasn’t broken. The photo attached are the photos of the “executive” suite which looks nothing like the website. In all honesty, I cannot fathom how this restort has any stars with all these issues. Anyone thinking of booking this resort please take note that all the photos shown on their website must have been from when they first opened because everything is aged, broken and extremely weathered inside the rooms.
