Just go! This place is phenomenal and all of the family members working here are so sweet and hospitable. Food is delicious, fresh and excellently priced. My fiance loved the grilled sea bass and calamari. Very accommodating for dietary restrictions — I’m a vegetarian and things are clearly labeled. They also provided off menu suggestions as well (they cooked an incredible orzo dish with a garlic wine sauce and veggies), which is so appreciated.
They even make their own olive oil (!!) which is some of the best we’ve ever had. I could drink bottles of it.

It’s not only about the food, which is as good here as a select few of the tavernas in this town. It’s the show that the boys put on around it. Items like the dolmades, baked fetta, steamed greens and octopus are terrific…and the comp desserts a cut above anywhere else. Add the very decent cask wine and comp booze, and the recipe is for a very good time, with a team that know exactly what they’re doing. You need to book at dinner, though I really enjoyed the matinee (lunch) too.

Myself and my husband visited the restaurant on the last day of our honeymoon, and from the second we walked in we were made to feel so welcome.
Every member of staff is faultless, truly putting care into their customer service along with their food. They are all so down to earth,passionate and more than happy to get to know their guests.
Moving onto the food, we have been in Crete for 2 weeks and (with no disrespect to any other establishments, they were all absolutely lovely) the food served here is honestly the best food me and my husband have ever had the pleasure of eating. We started with the spicy octopus and fried cheese as usually starters only warm you up for the main meal however we quite happily would eat these dishes as a main! Following this, I had the pork gyros and my husband had the fish platter – the portion sizes and freshness of the food make it worth every single euro!
We were also treated to desserts which honestly we did struggle to fit in – I was offered the option to pack the rest of my gyros for takeaway and jumped at the offer as to not waste the food – yoghurt with fresh cherries, chocolate sponge with icecream and a fruit platter which were provided on the house to share along with Raki. So much care is placed into every single dish!
As a side note as well, the view is beautiful with the restaurant facing the beach.
If any higher than 5* was available to rate, we would definitely rate higher and will be returning to Crete along with this amazing restaurant – thank you so much for your hospitality and incredible food!
Incredible experience. Stayed at Acro on the hill for 1000 euros as night and the dining experience here for 1/10 the price was many times more hospitable and better tasting. Food and service were great. Best meal and experience I’ve ever had at a family restaurant. The sons who were serving were the 3rd generation in the family and are passionate about food and service. This is a must if in Crete.

My absolute favorite place we’ve been to so far on our 3 week honeymoon. The food is amazing and the staff are incredible. They completely make this place come to life. They are all relatives- brothers, cousins, etc.- and they glide to and from tables with unparalleled wit and charm. They make excellent food recommendations, tell hilarious jokes, and they aren’t afraid to take a shot of ρακή with you 😉 By the end of your meal, you feel like you’re part of the family! Wish I could give this place 1000 stars.
