We are currently staying at the Sunshine Hotel. We are half way through a 2 week break. We booked into a deluxe double with own pool. What can I say. The room is lovely. Plenty of choice with food. The staff are great. The family who own the hotel are always around and working to make sure all is good. The resort area has plenty of shops and bars within walking distance. There is a bus into Kos Town. 5 star service from a 3 star hotel.
We just stayed at this hotel for a week and stayed all inclusive, and we loved it! We paid the extra via the Jet2holiday packages for a deluxe room and it was worth it! It is adults only which is nice because we was looking for a quiet relaxing holiday! We had wifi and air conditioning included in our room, I’m unsure if the normal rooms provide the same services. But having the privacy of your own terrace, pool and sun loungers, really made it feel like a deluxe room! Although, we did decide to relax around the main pool on a couple of days while there, but we didn’t really even need to reserve sun beds at first dawn! Although we did stay here in may! The weather was nice and warm during the day! We did have one day of bad weather and the evenings can be a little chilly in May…but in general it was a manageable temperature! There are a couple of local cats that do come into the hotels site but they are all lovely! They didn’t bother us at all whilst we ate, they usually sat/ laid next to our chairs! Because of our circumstance of checking into the hotel very late into early hours on our first day, we ended up loosing a day. So we enquired about getting a late check out the day before we left and we was able to get one! This cost €35 euros but we was able to keep our room until 6pm and our transfers picked us up outside the hotel at 8:30pm so this was very handy and ideal! The hotel let us leave our suitcase behind reception! I must say it was uncomfortable not being able to flush toilet roll down the toilets in Greece. However, the cleaners were always emptying the bathroom bins every day! Our room had the bedding changed everyday and towels changed! However, If you stay all inclusive alcohol can be limited. You can order spirit drinks but they are not branded, they are local spirits, they tasted the same to be honest. You can also get beer on draught but I’m unsure what brand this was as I didn’t drink the beer. If you want the likes of smirnoff or Malibu etc or even want cocktails you have to pay extra. Food in general was what you would expect on an all inclusive, breakfast was the same usually most days but on lunch & dinners and they would change up a few menu items but there is plenty to choose from! The staff are all friendly and always have good chats with everyone! They have two pool tables on site that cost €2 a game and have a tv & a projector screen to watch any sports they put on! This hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the main strip for bars/ restaurants/minimarkets in tigaki and then another 10-15 mins walk to the beach! I would recommend this hotel and I would love to stay again!
We booked Sunshine Hotel for my first holiday in over 5 years and have zero regrets!
3 star hotel with 5 star staff. If I could go every year I absolutely would.
ευχαριστώ
The room was fantastic, very spacious. we had booked the deluxe suit with a shared pool . The service was also excellent receptionist, bar maids, cleaners, and waitors, all very attentive and delivered excellent service. There’s a couple of things that could really make this place stand out as the rooms and the staff are what you would expect of a high star hotel. So my few issues the mini bar could have a few more beverage choices in as walking to and from the bar on one of the corners of the resort I’d pretty much drank the little cups walking. then food got very repetitive quickly. Breakfast was the same every morning. Thee bacon was weired thinly sliced cheap cuts, and think of spam and it’s pretty similar. I stuck to the cold cuts of meat. Lunch was a couple of salads a couple of cheeses then a section of beige. Then dinner wasn’t to dissimilar to lunch. First night I had moussaka was lovely. Couple of days later I had moussaka again and it just tasted of cinnamon. Then there’s the deserts I’d tried pretty much all of them some of the cakes were very dry. And some were a thin slice of sponge, and the rest was cream. There’s a bakery literally a few meters down the road it’s phenomenal. I found it bizarre that they weren’t using them as a supplier for their deserts. Also pastrys for breakfast as they’d quite clearly come in frozen out of a bag. This is I’m no way to put anybody off going as it is a fantastic hotel. I just feel like it could be so much more.
Absolutely brilliant. Staff are all so friendly hotel clean and tidy so are all the grounds. The hotel owner dresses the same as the staff and is not frit to get stuck in and lend a hand if busy. 2 things not so good. The swim up pools are great but too deep for my Mrs as she’s not a good swimmer and is only 5foot 4. And could not stand up in it. The other is the all inclusive drinks. The vodka, gin, all taste of ouzo there local drink. Not good for the brits. On the upside the free beer for the lads is great. Lol
But all in all its superb. Position great the food is tops recommended as no screaming kids. Xxx
