Welcome to Mykonos: An Insider’s Look at Studio Eleni

The Heart of Mykonos

Mykonos, the jewel of the Aegean, is renowned for its breathtaking beauty, vibrant nightlife, and charming streets. Nestled in the heart of this stunning island is Studio Eleni, an inviting accommodation option that promises a unique experience for tourists. Whether you’re looking to explore the winding alleys of Mykonos Town or enjoy the stunning views of the Aegean Sea, Studio Eleni serves as the perfect base for your adventures.

A Place with Promise

While Studio Eleni boasts a prime location, it’s essential for prospective visitors to consider all aspects of their stay. The ambiance upon arrival is crucial, and experiences have varied significantly among guests. Some have cherished the heartfelt welcome from the owners, while others have noted unfortunate service issues that dampened their spirit.

Ascending the Steps of Experience

One common feedback point highlights the steep and narrow staircase leading to rooms. While this staircase may provide a unique architectural charm, it has also proven to be an obstacle for travelers, especially those with heavy luggage. This should be considered when planning your stay—prepare for a little exercise!

Room Quality: A Mixed Bag

Rooms at Studio Eleni have received praise for their cleanliness and location, yet this has not been unanimously true. Some visitors felt that the accommodations did not match the expectations set by photographs, noting issues like small size and cleanliness. Be sure to check for updated images or reviews to gauge current conditions.

Noisy Nights

The night-time environment at Studio Eleni has been a point of contention. While some guests enjoyed their peaceful sleep, others reported disturbances from noisy neighbors and nearby clubs, which created a clash with the idyllic Mykonos experience they sought. This is something to keep in mind—perhaps a white noise app could do the trick!

Proximity to Local Attractions

One undeniable kingpin of Studio Eleni is its location. Situated just minutes away from iconic spots like the famous windmills and Little Venice, guests have enjoyed easy access to the pulsating heart of Mykonos nightlife and culture. This proximity allows for spontaneous outings and easy exploration!

A Touch of Personalization

Guests who had pleasant experiences at Studio Eleni frequently expressed gratitude for the kindness of the owners, who often went above and beyond to make their stay special. Arrival refreshments like figs and lemonade, along with escorting guests to their rooms, showcase a level of hospitality that warms the heart.

Complimentary Services: A Perk!

Studio Eleni has also been praised for its complimentary airport transfer service, providing guests with a remarkable saving and convenience. Touchpoints like this contribute significantly to the overall value of staying at Studio Eleni, allowing for a hassle-free travel experience.

Cleanliness Counts

Cleanliness has emerged as a critical factor for guests. While some reported exceptional hygiene and cleanliness in their rooms, others faced unpleasant surprises. Future guests are encouraged to stay informed and to communicate their expectations directly with the owners upon arrival.

Amenities That Matter

While some reviews shared concerns about the facilities, many guests appreciated the small but essential amenities provided. A clean and functional bathroom, and a well-kept terrace can make a significant difference in comfort during your stay—look for these features while booking!

Value Proposition

Studio Eleni provides visitors with a reasonable price point, especially given its prime location. With some guests appreciating their overall experience as good value for the money, it makes the studio an appealing choice for budget-conscious travelers.

An Experience to Remember

Every traveler has a story to tell about their experiences, and Studio Eleni epitomizes this diversity of perspectives. Some guests left with fond memories while others walked away with regret. It highlights the importance of matching expectations with the reality of accommodations.

Sharing Your Experience

Guests are encouraged to share their experiences not only to help future travelers but also to provide valuable feedback to the owners. Constructive criticisms can lead to improvements which benefit everyone, creating a better atmosphere at Studio Eleni.

  1. Our experience was HORRIBLE. When we arrived, the owner left us waiting outside, as there were no bells to ring and she was nowhere to be found. Then, when they finally let us in, we had to reach the room, which was on the top of an extremely steep and narrow staircase. It’s an extremely unsafe and difficult way to reach the room, especially when you’re traveling and have luggages. The room itself was very small and very dirty, way different than the pictures shown here. Sleeping was also very hard, because of the noisy neighbors (that even tried entering our room), because of the old door that made noises ALL NIGHT LONG because of the wind, and because of a club next to the house that pumped music till the morning. Then, in the morning, we had booked through the hotel a €30 transport to the airport (which is already more than other taxis ask). When we showed up to the meeting point, we didn’t see the drivsr, so we took a taxi since we had a flight to take. Ten minutes later the owner started calling us, furious, and said that we purposely kid them.
She said the driver saw us taking a taxi (why did he not stop us, then? we were clearly looking for him before taking the other taxi), and she started threatening us telling us the police was outside of the airport and that they were going to come inside and make us miss our flight, unless we’d make an instant payment to the Iban she sent us.
If you plan on visiting Mykonos, DO NOT STOP HERE. Honestly worst experience possible, never coming back.

  2. BED BUGS! I came end of March with a tour group and my roommate and I were covered in bites. I found a bug in my bed the morning we were checking out so there wasn’t much to do at that point but ew! You have to walk up very skinny steep steps to get to your room. The rooms and bathroom are very tight. The hot water didn’t work for the 30 people in my group and the owner just kept telling us to wait for it to warm up but it never did. Room seemed very dusty and like it wasn’t cleaned in awhile. Towels are very scratchy and uncomfortable.

  3. Such a great accomodation! Eleni and her husband are some of the sweetest people, offering us figs and lemonade on arrival made us feel so welcome. So reasonably priced and rooms were good. In a fantastic location, less then 5 minutes to the famous windmills, little Venice, great bars and clubs.

  4. Wonderful studio room right in the center of Mykonos town! Could not be a better location, and it’s on a quiet street. Super clean, has a small terrace, brand new bathroom (not common). Maria and her family were so so nice, they met us to give the keys upon arrival and then Maria drove us to the airport for free upon departure. You are saving €40 there so that’s an amazing perk! The room was exactly what we needed and is way better than staying at a hotel that is not right in the town. Highly recommend!

  5. Recently stayed at Studio Eleni and can honestly say that it met my expectations. It has a good value for money and is located in the exact center of Mykonos town. Going out was great since we would only have to walk 2-3 minutes to reach the room after being at the bars located in little Venice. Not to mention the owners were really lovely, unimaginably kind, and anytime we requested anything they made sure to help as ASAP. Lastly they even picked us up and dropped us at the airport we was really helpful. Can’t emphasize enough how pleased my friend and I were about the genuine kindness we were greeted with. Big thank you!!
