Came here on a private boat tour around the island. The Sikia Caves were awesome! Lots of tourists here though, don’t recommend swimming here as there are many better places to swim with less people around the island but definitely worth visiting.
We had been in 2018 on a chartered young persons cruise that visits Sikia Cave, this time around (2023) we hired a small power boat ourselves and we’re able to drive right into the cave, anchor the boat inside the cave, go for a swim and climbed to the top of the cave and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves for half an hour.
We did hire the boat from 9am and was one of the first people in the cave which helped. The hordes of charter boats were incoming as we left.
If you don’t have boating experience I still recommend taking a chartered cruise that visits this magical place.
There are large boulders in the cave so boaters be aware of your depth and at times there are lots of swimmers in the water in the confined space.
Really enjoy this place.
breathtaking, accessible with boat, very nice to stop and check all the details around
Protected little cove with Crystal clear water and warm waters.
Totally beautiful! The view of the cave is breath taking! We hike to the cave and it was totally worth it. For the ones interested the hiking trail is about 1h and is a medium/hard trail to do. There a lot of rock piles (cairns) to show the way but sometimes there’re easy to miss.
