Petros and his lovely wife are excellent hosts. Kind and helpful ( they provided their full support to a guest who had been taken ill during their stay) and full of recommendations on where to eat, where to go and how to get there. For an additional charge, you can have a delicious breakfast of homemade bread, dried & candied fruits, Greek yogurt and Greek honey, and the special item of the day (e.g., Greek pitas, an omelette.)
The rooms are exceptionally clean and the linens have the freshest smell unlike US hotel sheets. The sea views from the higher rooms are spectacular.
You won’t be disappointed if you choose this hotel.
One caution: The hotel has steps to get to the entrance and steps to get to the upper rooms so if you have mobility issues, you should be aware. There is an elevator/lift in the hotel.
Great hotel, located in the heart of Phytagorio – Close to main street, port, castle, restaurants, shops and phytagorio beach. The rooms are well equipped and exceptionally clean. The sea view from terrace is breathtaking.
We came in October and the street where hotel is located was silent, no loud noises etc in the night.
The owners are kind and sweet people, happy to answer questions and advise about the island.
Samaina is a very nice hotel to stay, Petros and his lovely wife are always so kind and helpful about almost everthing (shopping, restaurants, planning a day ;). Great hospitality and friendly attitude.
The hotel’s location is about 2 minutes walk away from the center, the room is cleaning everyday and has a pretty balcony with a nice sea view. We are so glad to meet him and staying there.

Central and wonderful hotel. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were very clean, our holiday experience got better with this hotel. The breakfast was really satisfying, most of the things were home made and all the items on the table were seperately wrapped for hygiene, we loved that! 🙂 The owners of the hotel were very friendly and eager to help on everything you need or ask.
