Saloniki Greek is honestly an underrated chain in the Boston area. Came on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch, and there was a number of other people around. The space is large and bright, with a variety of seating options for groups of different sizes or individuals just looking for a quick meal.
We ordered at the kiosk, grabbed a number, and the employees were quick to bring out our food when it was ready. I got the Peach Lemonade, Braised Pork Pita, and the two of us split the Greek Doughnuts in Caramel & Pistachio for dessert. The texture of the pita was perfect, and the meat and other fillings blended together nicely. The doughnuts came out fresh, and I really enjoyed the crispy outer texture plus the chewiness of the inside.
Saloniki hasn’t always been my first choice among all the food options in the neighborhood, but after giving it another try, I would definitely come back!
Great food, and fast customer service. We ordered the grilled chicken pita wrap and the souvlaki chicken plate, both of which were good. I thought the “secret” sauce was a little bit too sweet, and there wasn’t enough chicken on the souvlaki plate’s skewer. All that being said, the experience was good if you want some classic Greek cuisine in Fenway.
The seasonings are on point! Pork shoulder was extremely tender and flavorful. The chicken, delectable. I highly recommend the feta fries – delightfully crispy with hints of olive oil accenting the feta. The manager is super friendly with customers. He also specifically gets better house wine because he doesn’t want to compromise on flavor (and is a great deal for Fenway). We’ll be back!
I Darah Solemnly swear to Never Ever buy a Greek Chicken Salad from a random pizza or sub shop again. This is the Best Greek Chicken Salad I’ve ever had in my ENTIRE life. I work at Boston Children’s Hospital and it’s a free shuttle ride away so Ill b there for Lunch atleast 3x a wk. Yesterday was My first time and Today will be my second trip, Rain or Shine!!!
The Greeks would be embarrassed to call your Gyros Greek. The meat in my Gyros was pulled pork, not shaved from a vertical spit. I did NOT taste any Tzatziki, it was more like Italian salad dressing. If you are looking for a Greek Gyros, this is not the place for you.
