We were pleasantly surprised by the food here. The Steamed Mussels appetizer was a unique and delicious preparation. We also enjoyed our mains — the celery root steak, and goat (husband said it’s the best meat he has had in all of Greece) and the watermelon pie for dessert had lots of great textures and was very light and refreshing. Wish it wasn’t bright as day in the dining room at 10pm. Dimmer lighting would’ve offered a nice ambiance. At least we had a view overlooking the ocean and sunset. Service was standard, nothing exceptional. Would recommend.

The view from the restaurant also gorgeous (try to go for early dinner so you can actually see the sea, when it gets dark you can’t see a single thing).
Now food… food food food.
Very disappointing.
Everything we tried was either average or bad unfortunately.
I honestly can’t find a single thing to mention for you to try.
Homemade pasta pastitsio could have been a good dish if the pasta was actually boiled. 😬 the sauce was tasty. Pasta was just wrong.
The traxanas with the chicken was also boring.
The mousaka had interesting presentation but also nothing special in terms of taste.
We got 3 desserts.
The rice pouting, the orange pie with coconut ice cream and the chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce.
We’ve been told they’re not the traditional desserts we expect they come with a twist.

The orange pie: probably the worst dessert I’ve had in my life. Just a crunchy piece of sugar. The coconut ice cream was good.
The chocolate one I was the only one actually liking it. The rest of the group also didn’t like it.
We were looking for a nice dining experience in Milos and unfortunately although this one had good reviews it was very very underwhelming.
I hope they’re doing better during summer. I blame it at the end of the season.

One of the best meals we had during our visit to Greece. Delicious dinner. Food was exquisite. The views, the atmosphere, the wine, appetizers and entrees were simply perfect. Attentive and discreet services made the experience even better. Looking forward to going back to Milos and experience Roots again soon
We stayed at the hotel and had dinner at the restaurant one night during our stay. There were only a few other tables occupied in the restaurant but we enjoyed the quiet meal together – the atmosphere is very nice near the beach.
We had fried zucchini for an appetizer and pork tenderloin and the pastitsio for main entrees. Both entrees were very good and would recommend!
