Discovering the Rhodian Rose Hotel: Your Gateway to Rhodes

Welcome to Rhodes!

Welcome to Rhodes, a beautiful island steeped in rich history and vibrant culture. One of the top-rated accommodations to consider for your stay is the Rhodian Rose Hotel, known for its central location and friendly atmosphere—a perfect base for exploring all that this magnificent island has to offer.

Prime Location

Nestled within walking distance to the main strip, the Rhodian Rose Hotel is ideally positioned for guests who wish to explore the local shops, eateries, and cafes. It’s just a short 10-minute stroll to the beach, making it convenient for sunbathers and beach lovers alike.

Spacious & Comfortable Rooms

Guests have noted the hotel’s spacious and clean rooms. When you step inside, you are greeted with comfortable accommodations, perfect for winding down after a busy day of exploration. While the decor may not be extravagant, it provides a welcoming and cozy environment.

A Pool to Relax By

The hotel boasts a generously sized pool, an oasis for those hot summer days. Reviewers have highlighted its cleanliness and the fact that it’s never too crowded, ensuring you have plenty of sunbeds available to relax and soak up the sun.

Friendly Faces Await

While opinions on staff service vary, many guests have pointed out the warmth and helpfulness of certain team members. A friendly younger staff member is often highlighted, illustrating the hotel’s potential for great service when accessible.

Room for Improvement in Service

Some reviews indicate that service can sometimes feel a bit disorganized, especially during busy times. Lengthy check-in processes and issues related to passport retrieval suggest that better staffing could enhance guest experience significantly.

An Enhancing Experience?

While some guests reported issues with unpleasant smells in their rooms and the need for more attentive service, these experiences highlight opportunities for the hotel to improve upon a solid foundation that the Rhodian Rose has established.

Breakfast – An Area Needing Attention

The breakfast offerings have received mixed reviews. While guests appreciate the inclusion of a buffet, many agree that the selection is somewhat limited, which can detract from the overall experience. A few local delicacies would go a long way in enhancing this aspect of the stay.

Quality Matters

Several guests have voiced concerns regarding the quality of breakfast products, mentioning the repetitive nature of the offerings. Fresh local ingredients like olives and feta cheese would add an authentic touch to the hotel’s breakfast, elevating the dining experience.

Amenities and Accessibility

The hotel provides basic amenities like air conditioning and safety boxes, albeit at additional costs. Guests have pointed out that these added expenses can be a surprise, making it crucial for future visitors to be aware of potential extra charges.

Helpful Suggestions

Visitors have noted the need for more attentive service throughout the day. Employing additional staff to better manage guests’ needs would greatly improve the overall experience and ensure all guests feel valued during their stay.

Cleanliness – A Priority

Guests have remarked on the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, although some have had concerns about the maintenance of showers and towels. Consistent efforts towards upholding high cleanliness standards could ensure a more comfortable experience for all.

Guest Experiences Matter

Feedback from previous guests underscores the importance of continuous improvement. With some minor adjustments, the Rhodian Rose Hotel can enhance its service standards, making it an even more appealing choice for travelers.

  1. A reasonable hotel that could be easily improved.
Pros: location is walking distance of main strip and approx 10min walk to the beach. Pool is a good size and was never too busy. Enough sunbeds were available. Rooms were decorated to a reasonable standard although our balcony was shared. The younger woman was friendly and helpful if you could get hold of her.
Cons: Guests have to work around staff availability rather than the other way around. The check-in process was completed when they had time so we didn’t get our passports back until 2 days later. In order to collect passports, we had to pay hotel tax for 2 rooms (and late checkout) in cash which used a good portion of our spending money. My room (114) often had an upleasant smell and towels and sheets did not smell fresh either. I asked for an extra pillow and was told to ask the cleaning staff who had already finished for the day. Upon searching the next day, my husband ran into the lady who had checked us in who did immediately get me one, however the smell of it was so unpleasant I tried airing it out outside and eventually asked the cleaners to change when I encountered them. I asked to borrow an iron 3 times before giving up. The man who works there is unfriendly and doesn’t make eye contact or communicate with guests unless spoken to. The older woman was friendly. About halfway through the holiday, the water in our room became scalding – I had to crouch in the shower to get the cooler parts to rinse. I mentioned this upon chekckout and was told it was due to the excessive heat and piped being located outside. My children in another room didn’t have any issues with this though. Breakfast was average and only margarine was provided. We started skipping it and just buying brunch and dinner instead.
Someone should be available to meet guests needs at all times and they should employ another staff member if they do not have time to do everything themselves. Otherwise this could have been more pleasant stay.

  2. Good experience, clean rooms, cleaned every day. The only downside are the memory foam mattresses on the beds. Not a good night sleep. Pool is nice and clean. The breakfast buffet does not have a lot of choices.

  3. The hotel is located on a quiet street, 10 minutes’ walk from the beach. It has spacious clean rooms. The large pool is clean, the children’s pool has cracked mosaics in some places and the jacuzzi looks a bit nasty and doesn’t even work. In the bathroom, the shower water flowed in all directions and the toilet flowed non-stop. Sometimes the towels smell strange, like chlorine or disinfectant. I don’t think they’ve heard of conditioner or a detergent that will make them stop scratching so hard. The worst is at breakfast. It’s the same every day: one type of ham, one type of salami, one type of cheese, some yogurt, fried eggs (sometimes an omelette), cucumbers (sometimes tomatoes), boxes with butter and jam and that’s about it. Not to mention olives, feta, etc. The products are of poor quality and what’s worse is that I saw how they put back the omelette left over from a plate that someone ate from. The old lady who I think is also the owner only keeps an eye on what you eat and how much you eat, always on the lookout and one day she made a scandal for two sandwiches made for the little girls who were sleeping in the room and could no longer have breakfast in time. Only after I explained the situation she calm down. She has an attitude that disturbs a lot and in order to have a successful vacation you should avoid her permanently you must paid extra for. air conditioning and for the safe box. If I were to go to that area, I would never choose this hotel again.

  4. I will give only 4 stars ,because in the first 2 days ,they misplaced our reservation and put us in the hotel across the street in the old building. After 2 days we were back to Rhodian Rose where the rooms are nice ,spacoius, great matress, and clean. The breakfast is ok,the ladies are nice.Made us a small gift for saying sorry, and when we left ,they made sandwiches for the trip to airport.

  5. The location of the hotel is quite good, just a few minutes away from the beach. However, apart from that, other things can and should be improved:
    – Breakfast: every morning is exactly the same: poor in diversity and with cheap products. You not gonna find local products like olives or feta cheese.
    – Rooms: although they are renovated, the shower area it’s not properly cleaned (full of limescale, dirt and sand. Towels doesn’t smell fresh at all. The room has just one plug (extra tip: if you need to charge two phones in the same time, you should unplug the fridge). Air conditioning is only extra charge. The funny thing is that the bathroom window opens in the main hall, so anyone how’s passing by can hear a flushing toilet.
