I first visited Rethymnon 25 years ago when the town was peaceful. The beach in town is now overcrowded and noisy, and the town has expanded a lot. I was thrilled to see that the old part of town still remains almost the same. The narrow alleys with buildings close to each other offer shade which is very pleasant when walking around. There are many restaurants and shops, beautiful houses in different colours and lots of plants. I shall definitely return there!
Nice town, several places worth visiting. Great streets with shops and pubs
A beautiful city, especially the old part of Rethymnon
Spacious room, warm, pleasant colors, comfortable, large, double bed, many pillows, balcony with chairs and table, all the necessary equipment (fridge, electric stove, microwave oven, coffee maker with coffee, sugar and tea, kettle, crockery, detergent , towels, iron, hairdryer, safe). Small, chic hotel, in the historic center, on the quiet street, with vegetation, shops and small, family restaurants, very close to the Venetian Castle, the old port and the sea.
It is a pleasant road to the landscaped beach, approx. 30 minutes from the hotel. There is also a promenade with palm trees and oleanders, right by the sea.
Very nice old town with its narrow streets, numerous bars and restaurants. Lots of tourist shops as well
