A Culinary Treat After Your Boat Cruise

After a full day enjoying the stunning vistas from the sea, returning to Volta for dinner is a must. Andrew Ding emphasized the restaurant’s fantastic food and generous portions, as the marina setting creates a picturesque backdrop for a memorable meal at sunset.

Dine with a View

Volta offers a unique dining experience with views overlooking the port. Guests can enjoy their meals while watching the ferries come and go, creating a captivating atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. Emilia Kastreva praised the excellent food complemented by the breathtaking scenery.

Signature Dishes to Savor

Among the highlights of the menu are the signature gyros, featuring delightful lemon-flavored chicken, and a well-seasoned Greek salad. It’s no wonder guests like Emilia forgot to take photos; the flavors are so intoxicating that savoring each bite takes precedence over capturing the moment.

An Experience Worth Remembering

While most reviews sing praises, a few visitors have shared mixed experiences. A diner noted that while the food was average, the prime harbor location allows for ample foot traffic. Volta’s bustling atmosphere sometimes leads to inconsistencies in service, particularly during peak hours.

Service With a Smile – Most of the Time

Guests at Volta have expressed varying opinions regarding service. While Jane and Andrew enjoyed prompt and friendly service, Steph’s experience highlighted potential delays during busy periods. Open communication with staff can help bridge these gaps and enhance your visit.

Generous Portions For All Appetites

Tourists love that Volta doesn’t skimp on portion sizes. Andrew Ding specifically highlighted the generous servings, ensuring that diners leave satisfied. Whether you’re indulging in hearty Mediterranean dishes or light bites, you won’t be disappointed by the value offered.

A Spot For Every Mood

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch before your ferry, enjoying dinner with friends after a day on the water, or simply unwinding with coffee, Volta Restaurant caters to all occasions. Its versatility makes it a top pick for varying dining needs.

A Temptation of Desserts

Though some diners, like Emilia, missed out on dessert options, the menu includes delightful choices for those who have room to spare. Guests often find themselves faced with the dilemma of choosing just one dessert among an array of tempting treats, leaving them eager to return.

Not All Experiences Are Picture-Perfect

It’s worth noting that not every visitor has a seamless experience. Comments regarding slow service and cleanliness issues, such as flies around dining spaces, suggest that management may need to address certain operational aspects to enhance guest experiences further.

The Good, The Bad, and The Balance

Dining at Volta comes with its ups and downs, but the majority still find the experience enchanting. A mix of rave reviews coupled with occasional criticisms provides potential visitors a realistic expectation: effectively navigating any hiccups ensures a rewarding culinary adventure.

Unique Atmosphere and Vibrant Dining

The energetic atmosphere at Volta is palpable. With diners sharing laughter and clinking glasses, you’ll feel swept up in the camaraderie of the space. Each meal becomes more than just food; it transforms into shared stories and memories.

  1. We enjoyed a warm welcome, amazing lemon accented club sandwich with crisps, scrambled eggs featuring the flavours of Greece and good coffee while waiting for the ferry. Generous portions, well presented.

The venue has sea and ferry views, is next to an affordable car rental business and tour operators, close to ferry ticket sales offices. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

  2. Really fantastic food, very well cooked and well seasoned with generous portions. Great location right on the marina so was the perfect place to get dinner after returning from a full day boat cruise.

The only issue was that they seemed to only have one server for a full packed restaurant and it took a long time to flag him down.

But the food made up for it!

  3. Very nice restaurant overseeing the port with delicious food and friendly service. We had the signature gyros with lemon flavored chicken, delicious vegetables in well seasoned Greek salad, octopus. Everything was very tasty, so I forgot to take pictures and unfortunately we did not have the time for a desert but from what was served on the neighboring tables, I would have been in a dilemma choosing one.

  4. Not a good experience here would avoid. They have prime location by the harbour so generates a lot of traffic for those waiting on their ferry. The food is extremely average. In our meal only the accompanying bread was very good.

The service is very slow. We had to eventually get our own menus and only after repeatedly asking for service did we get to order.

To top it off the restaurant has a lot of flies while you are eating.

  5. Food was decent! Nothing super memorable but not bad. We had mamas meatballs with fries, the pasta dish with a fried egg, and a Greek salad. It’s a convenient location by the port.

But service was disappointing. It took a lot of effort to get the check after finishing our meal. I asked our server for the check and then he disappeared for 20 minutes. After he disappeared, I asked another worker for the check and he never brought it either. I ended up going up to the register to pay. I could understand if it was a busy night but there were only a few other diners and lots of staff working.
