The house is large and equipped with all comforts, very well equipped for all your needs, towels (including beach towels!), a very large supply of toilets, kitchen with everything you need – and more – already available. The house is in local style, very well cared for and tastefully furnished. The two bedrooms are on mirrored mezzanines in a single (very large) room, with Venetian shutters for privacy (I would have opted for a solution more in keeping with the house, such as bamboo or similar). If I have to find a flaw or rather an area for improvement, the air conditioning – effective as a whole – is lacking in the sleeping area but only during sleep due to the high position (where the hot air rises) and because the two air conditioners in the rooms they are positioned above the bed and therefore not easily used for sleeping.
We really appreciated the double bathroom (although only 1 with shower) as well as the washing machine which was very useful for a long stay (us 2 weeks). The location is exceptional, in the heart of the country, with everything at your fingertips and is extremely enjoyable. Of course, if you are a light sleeper you have to take into account that Lindos has a lively nightlife, that the Apollo bar is nearby and in general the music in the clubs is played until very late but the house has good soundproofing and, at least for us, it doesn’t bother us that much.
Finally, Maria made us find an exceptionally well-stocked “welcome basket”: water-wine-beers-fruit including a large container full of cherries – a fabulous jam and an amazing homemade honey – everything needed for a rich breakfast, snacks , crostini, crackers, loaf of bread, cold cuts… we practically didn’t have to buy anything the first few days!
