I am writing this review to express our extreme disappointment with the accessibility at this accommodation.
The listing clearly stated the presence of an elevator for accessing rooms. However, upon arrival, we discovered several flights of stairs leading to the first floor where the elevator is located. This presented a significant obstacle for one of the guests who requires mobility assistance.
We contacted the apartments management immediately to highlight this discrepancy and the inconvenience it caused. Unfortunately, their response lacked empathy and failed to offer any solutions. There was no apology for the inaccurate description, and the incovenience in our stay.
Furthermore, they did not offer any form of compensation for the inconvenience caused. You also declined to provide alternative accommodation despite having multiple listings in the city and requested an additional fee for an early check-in, which could have helped minimize the need to use the stairs multiple times.
This situation has significantly impacted our stay.
Nice, conveniently located apartment. But be forewarned:
1) They claim there is a lift, but not until you climb a very long, narrow flight of stairs.
They need to be honest about this. My 76-year-old friend nearly had a heart attack trying to schlep his bags up to the elevator.
No problem for most, but this must be clearly stated in any description and promotion for this place.
2) One towel per guest whether you are staying one night, one week or one month. The only way to get a fresh towel is either to buy one or pay their cleaning service to completely clean your apartment.
The clown that manages the place must think I am the dumbest human being on the planet. He wanted me to believe the if he left me a couple of extra towels for my stay that the Greek government would shut down his operation and throw him in jail. It’s insulting. For 80+ euros a night, I shouldn’t have to use the same towel for more than a couple of nights.
Nice apartment hotel in the city center. Everything is digital and the remote staff are friendly and helpful. The room was modern and clean with a good air conditioner. It’s a few mins away from all shopping area. Totally recommended in Heraklion.
Perfect stay. A bit noisy road but the doors make a good job of keeping most of the sound out. Great location. Everything within walking distance, including the buses to the airport.
I stayed at the Raise Kornarou City Stay for a week and was impressed with the brand new renovated and clean apartment. The location was also great, with easy access to must seen areas and several restaurants within walking distance. The management staff was friendly and accommodating, and the self check-in and check-out process was smooth.
