Loved everything about this hotel. We just wished we could have stayed for longer! We were greeted by Vicki who was warm and welcoming, we were offered water and had a beer whilst she went to check our room which had been renovated to a good standard. Vicki gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner options not just in Lindos but for the remainder of our trip around Rhodes.
The breakfast at the hotel had lots of options and was cooked fresh. We had the Greek breakfast every morning… highly recommend! A nice distance from town but easily accessible. Couldn’t fault a thing.
Just returned home from Rafael Hotel – we stayed for 7 nights and absolutely loved it!
We arrived at the hotel at 3am, one of the owners was there to welcome us and even left us some water in the fridge because she didn’t know if we would be thirsty (never had this happen in 30 years of visiting greece) so that was really welcoming. If you arrive after bar opening times 1am-8am, then there is a check-in wall where your key will be in an envelope with your name on.
The rooms have air conditioning included, which was amazing! We didn’t even realise when booking – usually we budget €10 per day for this.
There is also a free safety deposit box in your room.
The rooms are basic, but is what you expect from a 2-3* hotel in greece. If you stay in them all the time like me, then this is standard. The rooms are kept extremely clean and tidy – the maids come daily except Sundays. The balcony is spacious, and we had a ground floor, which was nice and shaded daily.
The pool is huge and kept clean and tidy. Plenty of sunbeds – 2 beds for each hotel room so you should never go without a sunbed.
The hotel is adult only – so no children, it was my first time staying in adult only and I think i will always stay In Adult only from now on. It was so peaceful & set back from the main lindos Road. You can’t hear anything appart from the odd donkey & chicken in the background.
Lots to do in lindos, so many restaurants and bars to choose from – the hotel is a good 15-minute walk from the main lindos streets, and up and down hills. We hired a car and went to pefkos most evenings because once you’ve seen lindos a few times, that’s more than enough. We also found more places to eat at reasonable prices in pefkos.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We got a last-minute booking with Tui for £400pp in August which looking at next years prices was an absolute bargain. Would love to return here! Thank you
Had an amazing stay here!! The pool was big with enough sunbeds for every room & could easily get one anytime of the day. The room was spacious & clean. Aircon and the safe were included too, which is a bonus as most places make you pay when you arrive. Our flight landed at 2am & when we got to the hotel the lady was waiting for us. If no one is there, you’ll find your key at the reception desk with instructions. We also had a bottle of water in our fridge on arrival 😊 The food was nice from the bar. We had lunch a few times there & can even see the acropolis from the bar. It’s so much cheaper than eating at a restaurant, too. It’s lovely & quiet there as it’s an adult only hotel and set back off the main road of Lindos. We hired a car so getting to places wasn’t a problem. We did walk to Lindos one night, and the walk there was all downhill, so it’s not an issue. However, the walk back wasn’t pleasent, and I’d reccomened a taxi, which is roughly €5. I will definitely be returning here on my next visit to the island.
We stayed at Rafael Studios for the last 2 weeks in August 2022 and we are so glad we did. We hadn’t been away for 4 years and didn’t know what to expect, we needn’t have worried. Vicki, Rafael, Tommy and Antonio made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, throughout our stay until we left. Nothing was too much, and always ready with a smile, this location is a must to stay, we had a basic room which was suitable for what we needed, the cleaners were in every day except Sundays, and there were no pitched battles required at the pool! If you enjoy peace and quiet, great service and also great food then you will love it here. We have booked again for 2023 with our adult kids and really looking forward to getting there. There are a couple of supermarkets nearby, a great Gyros takeaway/sit-in restaurant and the Ice Bar which does good food, all on the way into Lindos town. Lindos town is a short walk but would recommend a taxi for 5 Euros from town to the accommodation if you don’t fancy the steep hill walk back!
Great hotel with the best service ever. Vicky is a wonderful host and made us feel incredibly welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is very clean, has an amazing view and everything you need (plus a great pool!) and it’s very quiet – just 10-15 mins walk from the hectic centre of lindos-. They serve great breakfast with plenty of choice – try the Greek yoghurt!-. Thank you Rafael and Vicky for your hospitality.
