A Culinary Journey Awaits

While breakfast has received commendations for its fresh offerings—such as fruits, vegetables, and the highly praised fresh orange juice—some guests have expressed dissatisfaction with the dinner options. The restaurant’s menu has been labeled both expensive and lacking in quality by some, pushing visitors to explore nearby local eateries for a more satisfying dining experience.

Food Allergies and Special Requests

It’s important to note that the hotel has had mixed reviews regarding meal accommodations. One guest reported a serious incident related to gluten-free promises not being met, highlighting a potential concern for those with food allergies. Travelers with specific dietary needs are advised to communicate clearly with the staff to ensure a safe dining experience.

A Warm and Welcoming Staff

Many visitors have highlighted the friendly and accommodating nature of Porto Plomari’s staff. Despite some reports of inexperienced service, guests often found the staff to be sweet, engaging, and eager to assist, contributing positively to their overall experience.

Relaxing by the Infinity Pool

The hotel features a stunning infinity pool that has been described as a highlight of the property. Guests have enjoyed lounging by the poolside, soaking up the sun, and taking in the picturesque views. However, with limited availability of sunbeds due to lack of management, securing a spot may require some early morning strategy.

Opportunities for Improvement

Some guests have noted room for improvement in service and communication, particularly regarding room changes and meal options. These insights suggest that while the hotel is on a great path, there are areas that need attention to guarantee a seamless guest experience.

Reservations and Accessibility Issues

Potential guests may face challenges when attempting to make reservations due to a purported lack of availability on the hotel’s website. This raises questions about accessibility and customer service, as ensuring a straightforward booking process is essential for a positive guest experience moving forward.

Embrace the Outdoors

For those who love being active, the hotel offers various recreational activities. However, note that using the paddle court incurs additional charges. This aspect might deter budget-conscious travelers but presents an opportunity for sports enthusiasts to indulge in some fun outdoor experiences.

  1. If you are celiac (or have any form for food allergies) I do NOT recommend this hotel. Me and my mother stayed here for a week and was promised special gluten free dinner. We both got sick that night, because turns out, the food was not gluten free. The chef also made sure it was not normal food poisoning, so it had to be gluten in the food. They do not take any responsibility for this because they say things like this can happen, even though they promised it was gluten free. Do not recommend. The beds are also rock hard.

  2. We stayed here for two weeks in August and really loved our stay! The hotel is beautifully located on an amazing private beach. You could just sit there all day and listen to the sea and small waves coming to the shore. It was very quiet and peaceful and one of the most relaxing hotels we have ever been to. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh bread, fruits, yogurt and vegetables along with warm food. Our favorite though was the amazing fresh orange juice they served every day, we have never had better! The room was clean and comfortable and the ac worked great. Since it was a new hotel there were a lot of hiccups such as bad or no communication by the staff. From day one they knew I was vegetarian but every night I had to tell them and many times I got the same main course again instead of having what everyone else was having and just made vegetarian, we had half board. The wait staff forgot our orders or sometimes gave me the wrong dish, almost all were inexperienced. For lunch, you could order some things off the menu but you had to ask, it would have been nice to know in advance. However, everyone was incredibly sweet and nice and we enjoyed talking with all the staff. There were problems when we changed rooms after the first week, nobody told us we had to move and the older receptionist was very rude. Thankfully Maria at the reception was always nice and lovely to speak with. Many changes were made as we stayed there and we saw a lot of improvements. I can only imagine that this summer they will be up in full swing and ready to welcome guests again. The staff at the bar were really fantastic and nice and always very attentive. Overall, we loved our two week stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back and recommend this beautiful new hotel along the beach!

  3. They claim themselves and charge you as 5 stars hotel… but, honestly? The restaurant is not so good and really expensive. If you want good for for fair price the local restaurants if the city will do a much better job.

it’s really difficult to have a sunbed by the pool, the guests have none consideration and there’s no rules, people just walk to the pool 6am and lay a towel in a sunbed and it’s theirs now, even tho they don’t use it all day long, it’s “reserved”… the hotel could give some reminders of politeness, but…

ps: you need to pay (a lot…) if you wanna playing in the paddle court…

  4. Impossible to make a reservation. No availability for any dates anywhere, and the hotels own website redirects to a page not for the hotel – this does make one question wether this hotel actually exists

  5. Very tasteful and nice hotel with friendly staff. The infinity pool is very lovely. It is very clean in the rooms and in the area. The breakfast is great and otherwise ok food.
