For this year’s vacation, I chose the Porto Greco hotel. I would have both positive and negative things to say. I’ll start with the negative ones, to end on a positive note.
As for the beach, from my side it is a 9/10, the sand is very fine, the water extremely clear and of a blue that is hard to describe, the beach is clean, the staff is very friendly and always available. Only one disadvantage: it is small, it does not have much space at its disposal .
Regarding the location of the hotel, it is more than suitable, you reach the beach in just 5 minutes.
Many bars to choose from to enjoy your meal or drink.
And that was about the good parts. Starting with the bad parts, the first thing I was disappointed with was the bedroom, I’ll give it a 6/10. Especially the bathroom, very small and narrow.
A second thing that seemed to me a disadvantage was the “kindness” of the waiters. It happened to both me and my family that the plate in front of us was taken far too quickly. Many times, we don’t get to put the fork down because the plate was already lifted from the table.
It gave the feeling that they wanted us to leave the table as quickly as possible.
This was one of the biggest downsides of the hotel that made me give it only 3 stars.
We didn’t even get to sit at the pool. It was always full. I don’t know from what time the others went there because if you wanted to go after breakfast, you couldn’t find any places available.
A minus of the beach, it seemed to me the price of the sunbeds. €25 a deck chair, and €100 a bed for 2 people, a bit exaggerated.
As for the food, I’ll give it a 7/10, there were good and bad dishes. The breakfast was not so diversified, and at the other meals, I expected there to be more types of seafood or fish, but no, it was only the “fish of the day”, only one day I had a few more diversified dishes in terms of fruits of sea .
I was staying in a Deluxe single room, it was perfect since I was alone. The bathroom was kinda small but it didn’t really bother me. They don’t have shampoo in the room, only a soap dispenser in the shower so I would recommend bringing some shampoo and body soap. The service was very nice 🙂 most bars nearby are part of the all inclusive service, but only for drinks. Food is only at the buffet. That was kinda unclear for me at first. There’s also a nice little beach near but you do have to pay to stay there. I.m.o there’s not that much to do around the hotel so it can get kinda boring.
Overall It was a good stay 🙂
Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, very friendly staff and atmosphere of the hotel and helpful. The food was good and good choice.
Perfect location, only down point is the gym isn’t great …so if your someone that likes to workout is very very basic gym with next to nothing. But I opted for walking and enjoying the sun as didn’t want to be shut in a basement gym.
Would definitely stay here again
The pools are kind of hard to find, but you gotta keep trying
Room service is great, they dont understand a word in english, so if they keep taking your towel, you have to get used to it
Oh and its very loud because its by the one and only road and a local market that will provide you singing drinkers at 2 am
Pools with mold, food is monotonous, everything is the same every day. Paid sunbeds are available on the beach (€30 for two). The staff is not nice! The Russian woman who works at the snack bar is very unpleasant!
