I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Porto Carras Meliton hotel and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The hotel’s warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with its stunning views of the surrounding landscape, made us feel like we were in a paradise!
Service is terrible and inexcusable. Towels shack doesn’t open until 10am. The workers/lifeguards don’t show up either, so pools are closed and no towels available. Food is disgusting, overpriced, with poor service. Can’t even get a pancake machine to work. The golf course is worse than a badly kept municipality course at ridiculous prices. $200 bag bought in shopping center has a hole in it. Casino was closed for the entire week. ATM not working. Avoid at all costs!
We visited the spa at the hotel today due to the rainy weather. The spa staff is friendly and accommodating. While their English could use some improvement, they handle basic conversations quite well.
Regarding the spa facilities, there are several points to note. The steam sauna has a broken faucet, mosaic tiles are missing from the locker rooms, showers, etc., which gives the place a slightly aged appearance. Additionally, the hotel-provided slippers get wet and are not suitable for a water facility.
However, a special mention goes to Adenisa, who gave an exceptional massage. Having been to many massage salons in my life, I can confidently say her skills are top-notch.
Overall, with a few improvements, this spa has the potential to offer an even better experience.
From the moment we booked this resort we waited endlessly for it with anticipation and as they say the greater the expectation the greater the disappointment
When we arrived at the hotel entrance, there was no one to direct us at the entrance, we had to turn around and look for parking and carry our luggage from the far parking lot to the entrance
When we got to the reception, we checked in, got the key and started looking for the room. I mean, no one came with us or showed us or explained to us. It should be noted that there are dozens of rooms on each floor and it is very difficult to find your way around
We entered the room, turned on the air conditioner and the air conditioner did not work. We called reception, explained the problem, after a while a technician came and said that he had fixed the air conditioner and that we would wait an hour and everything would be fine.
After two hours the room was still at 30 degrees Celsius, we were sweating in the room and it was impossible to sit there
We called the reception again, they said they would give us an answer, but after half an hour that no one contacted us, we went down to the reception
We waited at the reception for over 40 minutes and in the end they brought us another room where the air conditioner didn’t work either.
In 5 hours, they changed us three rooms, in all of which the air conditioner did not work, and in the end it turned out that there is an air conditioner problem in most of the hotel rooms, which has been a problem for a week and will be taken care of in just a few more days. Something that we or the other guests were not informed about!
After insisting we got the money back and found ourselves at 7pm having to move between hotels to find a place to sleep.
It should be noted that the rooms in the hotel are very old, the smell in the room and in the corridor stinks and that everything is very expensive for no reason. The price of a glass of coke cost us 5 euros!
Finally, there is no reason to pay such a price for this hotel that made us spend all the day long moving from room to room when they knew that there is a problem with the ac.
Had a wonderful holiday with the family here. We had beautiful rooms overlooking the Marina which are gorgeous and also look out to the sea. The hotel setting is spectacular. The resort is remote from everything so it is good that it is a resort with everything self contained.
All staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke English very well. Theodorus was one of the many very helpful waiters. The reception staff and the cleaning staff were all excellent. The hotel was very clean and tidy.
The pools, beach – all great! Highly recommended.
