We were looking for a restaurant that would offer a taste different from traditional Greek cuisine while still maintaining its charm, and we found just the place. The chef turned simple dishes into masterpieces—sardines, a typical fish dish, but he adds something that completely transforms their flavor. The approach to another dish, the stuffed rabbit, was equally impressive—a very interesting combination of stuffing and presentation. The wine selection, which was recommended to us based on our preferences, was outstanding. It was absolutely delicious. We are delighted that such restaurants exist. Of course, it must be acknowledged that this experience does not come cheap.
Great dining experience! We were greeted gracefully by the knowledgeable staff which set the tone to continue throughout the evening. The food was unique and complex which provided great conversation points trying to figure out where the exciting and unknown flavours were coming from. The courtyard is lovely and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets in the old town, but super easy to find. The swordfish main dish was out of this world! Wine was excellent too. The only thing that didn’t hit to the same level was the dessert which looked lovely but perhaps lacked the explosiveness of flavour of the other dishes in comparison. Thanks to the lovely team for the great evening.
We enjoyed a three course menu for dinner and we can absolutely recommend this place. The terrace is very cozy, the food was excellent and high quality, the service very friendly and attentive and they have a great wine selection. The only thing I would change are the napkins, cloth napkins would be more appropriate for this place.
Delicious mediterranean food with a contemporary twist. The chef personally greeted us and explained some dishes which was very appreciated. Extremely attentive and kind service. Must visit if you are in Corfu.
Amazing evening at Pomo D’Oro, from the super friendly service to the amazing food I can’t recommend it enough 😍 if you’re in corfu please visit this place! We had the sword fish carpaccio as appetizer followed by the monk fish and finished with the Sunday: lamb ragu ravioli ! (Probably the best meat ravioli I have tasted 😋)!
