I loved this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights. We were given an upgrade to a premium room (33) and loved it. A nice big, clean comfortable room. Really well equipped kitchen. We had a nice balcony with fabulous views. There are two big pools and nice grounds and gardens. The hotel is in the heart of the village and surrounded by restaurants and shops. It’s about a 5 minute drive to the seaside. Maybe a 20 minute walk. Loved it.
We stayed here for 17 nights in a premium 1 bed apartment. If you do arrive late you will be stuck without aircon for the night and you’ll need to find your apartment in the dark, but once you’re sorted it’s a lovely relaxed place. The two pools are nice and Maria is a great pool bar hostess.
I wouldn’t say this is a family resort, definitely better suited to mature couples – if you just want some nice simple accommodation in a great location then this place is good 👍
Unfortunately our experience here was aweful. We arrived late at night and our rooms were definitely not anything like the pictures online. Our room had no working air conditioning on arrival and it was like an oven in there. The bed for the 5th person was not made up on arrival and only towels for 4 persons. (The air conditioning was fixed later that morning) The rooms were by any standard, filthy. They are barely cleaned, the taps and shower curtain has dried on soap that wiped off with my hand so not sure why the cleaners couldn’t get it off. The shower curtain was also mouldy and the bath and surrounding area was dirty. The toilet stank of stale urine all week as well. There was a small table with 2 chairs for a family of 5. My parents and sister had 2 other rooms that were supposed to be 1 bedroom premium apartments, 1 was and 1 definitely was not although the hotel insisted it was. It was much smaller and completely different and more run down inside. On the morning of our arrival we were told by the receptionist that we checked out on the Tuesday as our flight was the Monday night but late. She charged us for 8 days air conditioning because of this. When we checked later in the week with Mr George the owner, he didn’t seem happy and said we had to check out Monday morning and that the rooms were full the next day. But when checking later with Nikos, my father saw the booking sheets in the diary and people were not in those rooms until the Wednesday. This is only my opinion, but it seemed he was not happy we potentially had 3 rooms all day for nothing. Mr George then said we could pay the 30 euros and have one room for the day but not one we were using as fully booked. Then later it was said we could have all of them if we wanted to pay 30 euros for each room. This is what led me to believe that they were available all along and why he wasn’t happy we had them for nothing. In the end we had the difference back for the over paid air con and had one room. Also there are only 2 pools, no children’s pool with slides in sight. The whole experience was so awful that we have started a complaint with Jet2. The only saving grace for this hotel is Maria at the pool bar. She was great and so smiley and helpful, and her food was lovely. She is a credit to the hotel and a ray of sunshine in an otherwise abysmal place. **Be aware, a lot of the reviews on here are about the Village itself not the hotel. People seem to be confused, this is the page for the Hotel “Piskopiano Village Apartments” not the actual village. **
This review is for the apartment hotel not the village itself
The place is old and weird.
We were a family of 4, and there were several issues with the place.
The rooms are very old and ill equipped
When something breaks fixing takes a long time.
We had the wrong room waiting for us and it took 2 days to partially resolve. We got a better room but still not the one we booked. The place blamed the agency but failed to show how as it was the only type of room to choose from and marked available. It felt like a scam.
It was the only place in the village that didn’t accept debit or credit cards. Which meant we had to take out money from and expensive ATM if we wanted to buy anything at the bar/pool etc. Luckily everyone else did so we enjoyed the awesome food in the restaurants around
And the cherry on top was waking up to find the cleaning lady in our room at 8:30 in the morning. She walked in while the we were sleeping in the living room! And just started to work waking us up.
The people themselves were polite and kind of nice, so it’s not one star, but I will recommend to booking somewhere else to sleep in the lovely village
It looks nothing like the pictures. There isnt much to do. Advertises 3 pool but only has two. Also advertises a mesage area but there isnt one. Dont get me wrong it is a lovely village but the rooms are tiny and its not very family friendly. You also feel very isolated and not in a nice way. Dont choice here. Im not one to complain about hotels but this one is awful.
