Excellent atmosphere. We arrived on a winter’s day, the fireplace was lit and it was warm and cozy. Fresh vegetable salad, halloumi cheese, excellent, also the moussaka. Worth a stop
Unexpectedly good steaks at this tavern in Foini. Our hosts at the nearby Casa Oliva in Treis Elies told us this place was known for its steaks and river trout — and they were spot on. The prices may be a bit high considering you’re in Troodos, but the chef used to run a well-known restaurant in Limassol that was known for its steaks — the quality of the meal is up to par with its price. Try the steak Diane and special trout — you won’t miss. The potatoes were quite nice, but the vegetables were boiled and quite bland. Local loukoumi was served with coffee on the house at the end of our meal. We called one day ahead and ended up being the only ones there, as the owner opened up just for us. Keep an open mind ahead of your visit to Foini and you won’t be disappointed — the steaks are the star of the show.

A simple menu with selective flavors, there are some traditional foods especially during lunch times however if you love your steaks, I highly recommend, great cuts of beef dressed with their own specially crafted sauce to make your taste buds dance..

We have found this Taverna by mistake, but we loved it! The Phini fish trout was delicious. Some of the group ordered the Kleftiko which was amazing! Worth visiting!
