Very small rooms, not enough space to move around, use the bathroom or let alone storage the suitcases. When showering it literally floods the whole room, bringing all kinds of different bugs with the humidity that this leads to.
Also, the hotel kind of far from everything and you definitely need a personal vehicle if you want to visit the island.
Staff is really nice but definitely NOT worth it for the price payed.
I recently stayed at Penelope Village and I must say, it deserves a solid 5 out of 5 stars! First and foremost, the location is absolutely perfect – just a few steps away from the sea. It takes only a few minutes, maybe around five, to walk to the beach, which is incredibly convenient. The sea is very clean, and the beach itself is fantastic. There are paid sunbeds available, but you can also sunbathe for free, which is a great option.
About a 15-minute walk from the hotel, albeit uphill, there’s a supermarket and an affordable café where you can enjoy a good meal without breaking the bank. However, I highly recommend renting a car at the airport. Not only will this save you a lot of money on taxi fares, as the transfer from the airport to the hotel can be quite expensive, but it will also give you the freedom to explore the entire island.
With a rental car, you can easily visit the city center, where you’ll find amazing parties and great spots for taking photos in the old town. You can also drive to other beaches nearby. For instance, there’s a beautiful beach just a 15-minute drive away, perfect for spending a delightful day.
I should also highlight the excellent value for money at Penelope Village. The level of service you receive for the price is outstanding, making your stay even more enjoyable.
I wholeheartedly recommend Penelope Village to anyone looking for a great beach vacation and to those who love a good party. This hotel truly has something for everyone!

The location is gorgeous, not far from the beach with a view of the sea, it is hard not to notice the beauty of the coast of Mykonos, there is a beautiful pool with crystal clear water, and in the evening the white walls of the hotel in a wonderful combination of light create a romantic atmosphere. The rooms are very quiet with elements of natural design, original, as you unite with nature starting from the room, clean and clear rooms, as for service, service of maintenance is always happy to help
We extended our trip for a few more days and booked this place. The manager Dimitris is fantastic and really made an effort to ensure our stay was comfortable including upgrading our room! . Nothing was too much trouble to organise, housekeeping work very hard and are lovely. All the staff at Penelope Village made genuine effort to accommodate our needs. I would return to this hotel.
