Our family recently enjoyed a fantastic two-week stay at Pefkos Village Resort in Rhodes, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and warmth we received were beyond our expectations.
A special mention must go to Dimitris and Eva, whose exceptional service made our stay truly unforgettable. They went out of their way to ensure that our two children were happy and entertained, and their attention to detail and friendly demeanour made us feel right at home. The levels of service provided by Dimitris and Eva are what every hotel should aspire to.
We were also thoroughly impressed by the food prepared by the wonderful chef, Nektaria. Not only is she an amazing chef, creating delicious meals that we looked forward to every day, but she also made us feel incredibly welcome with her warm and friendly approach. Dining at the resort was a highlight of our trip, thanks to her.
Overall, Pefkos Village Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. The beautiful location, combined with the exceptional service and delicious food, made for a perfect family holiday. We highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning in the future.
Thank you, Pefkos Village Resort, for a truly memorable stay!
What an absolute treasure of a place, on arrival we were greeted by a very lovely receptionist, and I am ever so sorry but I can’t remember her name.
She was very knowledgeable about the area and advised us on places to visit.
She personally escorted us to our apartment, chatting all the time about what to expect, she was an absolute pleasure.
She left us to get settled and we then explored the apartment. It was not a bad size at all. To be honest it was a different layout to what we were expecting but we got over that, not quite sure as to why the TV was in the bedroom? Also rather strange that the bathroom was also in the bedroom, which did make it quite awkward in a morning.
I am an early riser, 05:45 to 06:00 every day even on holiday and I could not take a shower and get ready for the day without waking up the hubby..
Small flaw in my opinion is that the resort did not provide a t-towel, washing up liquidor a sponge to clean plates and cups, other resorts I have visited supplied small bottles and a sponge, maybe as a suggestion these could be added to the room?
The whole resort was lovely and clean and when we visited it was very quiet, 23rd May to the 30th May 2024.
All staff at the resort were super friendly and polite, they made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and if we visit Rhodes again, we would definitely rebook.
First time visiting Greece for me and it will not be the last…
So sorry for forgetting the receptionist name 😞
Second to none……
PVR is our favourite hotel in Rhodes, actually no, in Greece. We’ve been going for many years and it’s truly become our home away from home. Very peaceful location, lovely rooms, great food, good facilities and the best staff who can’t do enough for you.
The hotel has two pools, a baby one and a main one. Pool and poolside are always clean and tidy with plenty of sun beds. Grounds are immaculate. There are pool side showers both internal and external.
Rooms are a mixture of studios for two or apartments for 3 or 4. There is also a villa at the back for 7. Rooms have plenty of space and everything you need to self cater, but to be honest you don’t want to miss the food at the hotel or in the Village.
Food, both day and night is cooked to a high standard and there is plenty of choice. There is a small range of essentials behind the bar if you don’t want to shop in the Village, albeit there are a few shops near by. You can also order from ABC Supermarket whilst there or before you arrive.
The Hotel itself is about 15 mins walk from the Village but like the shops scattered near by there are a few lovely Tavernas if you don’t want to wander too far. The walk in is uphill somewhat part of the way, but take your time and there is nothing nicer walking in and watching the Village come to life.
It’s also near a few beaches / bays and the main Pefkos beach, Lee Beach is not far away if you walk down to Kavos beach, which is lovely beach.
And as mentioned at the beginning of this review, the staff are the best. Whatever you need they will do their very must to help and assist you and if they aren’t directly able to help they will help you find someone who can. Vasilis and his team are a large part of why we return all the time.
Highly recommend Pefkos Village Resort if you are young or old or a family with young or older kids or if you are a couple or just a bunch of friends. Pefkos itself has something for everyone and for us Pefkos Village Resort is the jewel in Pefkos’s crown.
I have written a review before about PVR, which was honest and balanced. I feel their response was in places unacceptable.
Unfortunately last June, I was violently ill 45 minutes after consuming stuffed pepper and tomato that tasted very strange. They offered me a replacement meal, but by then I had lost my appetite. They also argue that they refunded the cost, but unfortunately the damage had been done.
The way, I have been treated is absolutely disgusting. I personally felt that I had suffered food poisoning, but PVR lied on the response to try and ruin my credibility. Thats right ‘I feel’ because, I suffered this misfortune and it was upto the reader to decide. Unfortunately you cannot have the last say on Tripadvisor, so the resort can make anything up. If you look at all the negative reviews, the customer according to them is always wrong!.
PVR lied in their response to my review alleging that staff saw medication for a pre existing stomach complaint. I would like to confirm that the only regular medication I have is NOT for a stomach issue. What, I also found alarming is that their staff are rummaging around through our personal belongings. It is none of your business what medication I take. This allegation was purely made to cover up your wrongdoing.
They also allege that, I was up and about in the resort the next day. I spent 36-48 hours in the apartment and went out for a walk 2 days after to try and speed up my recovery and feel normal. I was not doing cartwheels around the resort the very next day as you seem to think. Also, what if I was walking around the resort? Just because, I am up and about, it doesn’t mean I am back to full health!
They also said that I think I am a better cook, but the only thing I mentioned was that I enjoy cooking and tasting different cuisines. They make me out to be arrogant, which is far from the truth. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with several meals I had there. Sorry, but that is how I feel.
PVR questioned why it took me so long to write a review and the reason why was to give easyJet and PVR every opportunity to respond.
I also had a bad experience with ABC Supermarkets (part of the same umbrella) whereby they sent me very short dated milk and out of date parmesan gratings. The parmesan was 3 days out of date, when we arrived! Luckily, I checked 2 days after we received it because that could of really hindered my recovery. I emailed ABC 4 times to get a 6 euro refund. When, I mentioned this, I was told defensively that it is another part of the business. Okay, fair enough, but perhaps you could of explained that you were sorry on their behalf and that you will forward the complaint to the appropriate person?.
I also sent many emails to easyJet holidays about my experience, but did not hear back from PVR once! I assumed that easyJet would keep them updated?
Over 4 weeks ago, I wrote a letter to PVR correcting their false allegations that they had made in the Tripadvisor response against me, but again they have not responded. I even sent another email to confirm whether they have received my previous email, but nothing!. I thought you were in the hospitality industry???.
This situation could of been resolved in my opinion. In the end, it wasn’t really about the suspected food poisoning, but about your defensive, unprofessional and arrogant attitude.
Quiet oasis with quality service. A good standard of accommodation enhanced by exceptional staff
