Perfect place to park for Knossos and follow it up with some lovely food and drinks.
There is parking available under the shade of trees which is handy and Konosos is only 150m or so down the road.
There are other places to park closer but very few have any shade to park under.
The parking is part of a restaurant and after you can grab a drink and some food (which is well needed after a hot walk around!)
The food and drink was all reasonably priced and very nice.
You are not forced to go to the restaurant or made to feel bad if you don’t.
They have nice and clean toilets as well.
Staff were all friendly. Overall a good experience!
Just a fantastic experience overall. Lovely quiet and quaint atmosphere paired with authentic homegrown ingredients from their garden. Wish we had 4 stomachs to keep eating more. If you’re already up here visiting Knossos, don’t bother with the food across the street. Walk 2 minutes back toward Heraklion to eat here. It’s 100% worth it.
Wonderfully, Greek olive shaded Garden restaurant, our party of 7 were welcomed and our toddler enjoyed the play area and after ordering our mains and drinks received some free toasted bread with tomatoes and at the end of the meal as I was trying to pay they said I should wait as they waited to serve us some free pudding sponge cake and ice cream fabulous we then walked the 200m to Knossos. We’ll worth taking a lunch stop.
Food was good and fresh . We enjoyed our lunch there. They served also chocolate cake
The food here is great and very close to Knossos palace. It’s worth trying the snails and pork gelatin for a unique experience on Crete. Our fish, lamb, pork souvlaki and steak were all cooked to perfection.
