Just an amazing hotel to stay at great swimming pool. The rooms are beautiful with large patios. The buffet breakfast is to die for and stocked up very well. But what makes this property so much fun is how friendly the staff is.
Paros Agnanti in Paros, Greece, is advertised as a 5-star hotel, but sadly, it does not live up to this promise. My recent stay in one of their standard premium rooms was far from the 5-star experience I had anticipated.
Firstly, the beach was poorly maintained and difficult to access, a significant letdown for a hotel claiming such a prestigious rating. While the reception staff were helpful, the overall service from other staff members was subpar and lacked the attentiveness expected from a high-end establishment.
The hotel seems to have a few upgraded rooms that might meet 5-star standards, but this quality is not consistent throughout the property. The nearby construction was another major inconvenience, obstructing views from the room and adding to the overall frustration with constant noise. The pool area was particularly underwhelming, more reminiscent of a budget motel, with no poolside service to enhance the experience.
Attention to detail is crucial for a 5-star hotel, yet Paros Agnanti fell short in this regard. From mismatched towels and finding hair on pillows that were not ours, to a bed that rattled because it wasn’t properly secured, the room’s condition was unacceptable. To top it off, there was no hot water on our last night, leaving us eager to check out as soon as possible.
We shared our concerns with Air Canada Tours, but unfortunately, they did not take any action. The hotel offered to move us to a similar room or have us pay for an upgrade, but neither option was satisfactory, especially since we had already paid for what was supposed to be a 5-star experience. The basic rooms at Paros Agnanti are more akin to glorified Airbnbs rather than luxurious hotel accommodations.
In summary, if you are seeking a true 5-star experience in Paros, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Paros Agnanti does not live up to its advertised standards and is likely to leave you disappointed.
Rooms are not 5star hotel quality. We did not have hot water on the last day, the shower drain would not drain very well, Wi-Fi barely worked from the room. If you want room service, they charge an extra 10%, which is crazy since you are paying for a “5star” hotel.
There is construction right in front of the hotel. We can’t blame them for that, but since we are paying for a 5star hotel, I think we should have been warned before booking.
Service was okay. It would have been nice to have employees greet us at the entrance like many other 5star hotels.
I feel like this is maybe more of a 4 star hotel than a 5star one.
No private beach, which is sad 🙁 it would have been nice to have sunbeds at the beach. Also, it is not right on the beach, so you need to walk further down to get to the public beach.
This was our first visit to Greece. This hotel made it amazing. Our travel agent Mandy Bankston could not have done a better job at placing us right in the center of the culture and the total experience. Never in America at any of the 5 star hotels that we stayed have we been treated with such kindness, patience, hospitality, or willingness to help make our stay pleasurable and inviting. After two long plane trips, a metro train, and a 3-hour boat ride not only the view from our room, but the people, and the cleanliness and the layout of the room was so relaxing and so inviting, it made the exhausting and trying travel well worth it. The food & the restaurant is not only beautiful in presentation but tasteful and affordable. Realizing that we would be staying for some time it was very nice realizing that we could include them in our food choices several times during the week. The view from the hotel morning noon and night breathtaking. It made eating each meal even more enjoyable. It offered much relaxation looking at the water the lights glistening at night sparkling on the water or the sun coming up or the sun going down. Surprisingly the way they arranged the hotel are amazing breeze blew through morning noon and night appealing to all of your senses allowing you to withdraw from the world and just relax and catch a little “peace” that no matter what side of the world you’re on, we all crave so very much. Room service was phenomenal. After being out all day enjoying the sights we came back home too a clean room, beds made, plenty of clean towels, soap, shampoo, etc & enough coffee, cream and sugar for the night and the morning. Shuttles ran morning and night. Very convenient however I would suggest a midday shuttle because 7 hours downtown all day long and all night long is quite a long time especially for the elderly. One other desire to make this day even better would have been to have some wash cloths. We had wonderful oversized towels for bathing, great towels for the beach and nice hand towels however in America tiny square washcloths important for washing your face while showering. I make a second mention of the food at the hotel brunch was amazing and over the top, so many choices. They had breads, meats and eggs every way you might like them. Cereal and yogurt. Fresh-squeezed juice & perfect coffee blend to start your day. My personal favorite was the homemade local jams with so many varieties. It is offensive in America when you spend your hard-earned money to visit somewhere and they try to cut corners and use cheap quality foods. Especially packaged jams only 2 choices & imitation cream or butter. Unlike America, it appeared that all hotel employees even housekeeping love their jobs, love life and love people. On behalf of the Toorez family from Keller Texas, I would like to thank each and every one of you in Paros & Agnanti resorts for making our family vacation and our Greece visit an experience like none nother & a memory that will last a lifetime. May God bless each and everyone of you in abundance. There was one more suggestion that I would like to share as an interior decorator. On the balcony which has an amazing view to create more privacy and more Elegance I recommend purchasing some beautiful oversized pots for the corners and planting native beautiful flowers and greenery making being out on the balcony even more enjoyable. Best night sleep ever. Bed was extremely comfortable.
I never post reviews, but this hotel earned it. We stayed in this “5 star hotel” for 5 nights. After 4 weeks of travelling Europe and staying in 3 star hotels, this was meant to be the best of our trip. It actually turned out to be one of the worst.
Firstly, upon checking in, there was confusion with our room, which wasn’t the hotels fault. However, staff were not accomodating at all when trying to deal with this issue. We had to wait over 2hrs to hear a response from the hotel manager and it was over the phone while we waited patiently in our room. We asked for a room upgrade and were told that none were available. When we visited the reception a third time later that day, they were able to provide us with upgrade options for our last two nights (which means the manager didn’t even bother to look for upgrades when we had politely asked). After this issue, during our entire stay we always felt like a burden to the reception staff. We had also seen the manger walking around on several occasions to which no smiles were exchanged, no comment was made or asking us how our stay was going and if everything had been sorted out.
Secondly, when we got moved to our upgraded room for the last two nights, the toilet wouldn’t flush, the beds were terribly uncomfortable and there were biknis still hanging on our balcony (from pervious people). Outside of the hotel rooms, other guests would leave their room service plates outside, which we noticed weren’t cleaned up till the following day (I had also seen a rat run past one of the rooms). Construction was also happening outside of the hotel which carried on for the entire day, and was in view.
The only positive (hence the 2 star) is 1: the buffet breakfast. 2: the amazing bar staff at the pool (thank you to the lovely lady and gentleman who were always so accommodating and made amazing cocktails!)
