Α must visit! Papanicolis cave was the place where the Papanicolis submarine used to hide from the German submarines in World War 2. The cave is big with a small shore. Better to go there with calm see as the swell makes it difficult to approach. Also go early (before 10am) if you can, to avoid congestion.
Always a quick stop in the cave when sailing. It’s nothing spectacular but a nice visit. Some shallow rocks in the middle if you travel by dingy.
Great and memorable landmark. We went there with an organised boat trip from Nidri (Makedonian Palace).
Very interesting cave.
The water was pretty deep however, it was very clear so you can see everything below you if you have the snorkeling equipment.
Incredibly beautiful cave! The water is sky blue, a lot of fish swimming nearby at hands reach. Don’t forget your mask, you’ll get an eyeful 🙂
