Good location, like a ten or fifteen minute walk to Mykonos town. Pool area was nice, free breakfast was good. Room itself was somewhat spartan (no pun intended) but very serviceable and clean. Shower had great water pressure, which was nice. Incredible view of the sea from the pool area. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Do not stay here if you actually want to feel good or be treated like a human being. We had an extremely humiliating and upsetting experience that no one should have to endure. They also ILLEGALLY resold the room despite us not checking out. We have spoken with our lawyer and they have advised us that this is highly illegal. The manager is likely to dispute everything below as she does not value her customers. She will say we are lying and she will say she offered us compensation. They will also lie and say we refused the new room. This is not true. They will also say we stole a bottle of wine but this was complimentary for our anniversary and was offered ahead of check in.
We checked into this hotel quite easily thanks to the receptionist named Evie. As it was late in the day, we dropped our bags and headed out for the evening. When we returned around 9pm, we were shocked to discover that there were ANTS throughout the room. We alerted Evie straight away and asked to be put into a different room, which she declined due to availability. She said she wouldn’t be able to put us into a room until later tomorrow but as you can imagine, we did not feel comfortable staying there the night (especially when we later discovered more ants behind the bed, in the shower and even in one of our bags!).
At this stage, we were very unhappy and asked to be refunded the cost of the one night so that we could relocate to another hotel for the night. We were happy to move into a new room the next day but we did not feel comfortable staying in that room for the night. At first she refused to call the manager and we feel that she pretended to call her as when we requested her to do it in front of us, she conveniently didn’t know the managers number. We then asked to speak to the manager who was extremely rude, refused to give us a refund, did not apologise at all, refused to come to an agreement for compensation in any way, accused us of lying despite photo, video and colleague proof and then proceeded to hang up on us in the middle of the conversation. Evie then offered the only thing she could do which was so spray the room (the can was nearly empty which is a telling sign that this has occurred frequently) and glue the areas (again, why would they have this on hand?). She told us the new room would be ready at 11am the next morning.
The next morning after a sleepless night, we asked the new receptionist, Prishna for our room. At 10:45, she told us to wait for only 15 minutes for it to be cleaned and then it would be ready. She showed us the room very briefly and the cleaner was nearly done. At 11:05am, the room was apparently still not ready despite the cleaner having left the room and locked it behind her. Prishna simply refused for us to enter and told us to leave our bags in reception. We told her all we wanted to do was drop our bags in the room and get the items we needed for the day and then leave to explore. She argued and told us that if we did that, the room would not be cleaned (although, it already had been cleaned). After around 20 minutes of this, she made me cry, yelled at me to calm and Threw the key towards me in an extremely inhumane manner. We went down to the new room and we noticed that it had ant glue on the sides, which told us that this hotel had a much bigger job on their hands. After 30 minutes, Prishna proceeded to come down to the room and although I asked her multiple times to leave me alone, she would not leave.
As you can imagine, the treatment at this hotel and the pests that inhabit it made us want to leave effective immediately. Although we didn’t check out, they get it was appropriate to resell our room despite not contacting us and assuming that we were not returning. Not only did the hotel not offer a refund or compensation, they did not even offer an apology.
We paid $1200NZD (€700) and have not received or been offered any of it back. It was our anniversary and our experience of Mykonos has
Hotel staff was rude and un reachable for long periods of time. Wouldn’t call me back after 2 messages. I had to keep calling over and over while on vacation. Not so fun!
wouldn’t allow a refund for cancelation 48 hours in advance. With the Greek ferry system being un predictable I wouldn’t bank on reserving a room with Omiros as they will take your money and cite some horrible cancelation policy. Better to book with more reliable businesses.
Excellent!
Everything was excellent. The location, the view, the cleanliness, the services, the breakfast and also the stuff and the owner. We stayed 5 days. It was amazing! Many thanks!
