We stayed here on vacation and have never had a worse experience with a hotel. The nastiness and lack of professionalism amongst the staff is unbelievable. The owner’s comments to some of the reviews that point out issues with the place reflect the poor service and vile responses of the staff. These people are rude!
This hotel was well worth the money. The location is unbeatable. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but to have a private view of the sunset away from all the other tourists is well worth it. The room was beautiful and clean, the hot tub was great, and the staff was so kind. We really enjoyed our breakfast as well. We’d absolutely stay again, and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santorini.
Absolutely beautiful hotel with clean, high quality rooms. The check in process was aggravating – they sat us down for half an hour in the sun to explain every little thing multiple times (like how to read a map), took our passports and credit cards but also required us to write it all down, told us we weren’t staying long enough (two nights – it was plenty!), and made us give them cash (a small amount) for a “tax” that was excluded from our paid reservation. We just wanted to check in and get to our rooms, and this whole process was unnecessary – we may still be there had we not insisted on them stopping. However the room was fantastic and location cannot be beat! Private hot tub was pretty great. EDIT IN RESPONSE TO HOTEL’S RESPONSE: it is normal to provide a passport and credit card OR write down the numbers for the hotel. It is not normal to give the hotel your passport and CC and also be asked to write the numbers – which is not so easy when they have been taken from you so you have to dig up emergency notes while waiting for your documents to be returned from wherever they were taken. We have not been asked to provide a cash tax at any hotel throughout Greece but this one – it is simply not a Greek law. Closing on a house takes less time than this check in process, and you’re not baking in the sun after a 6-hour ferry ride either. We have stayed in countless hotels in 30+ countries and never had a check in process this miserable. I also forgot to mention the broken patio chair that my 150-pound husband fell through and the fact that the hotel only provides bottled water on the first day despite the tap water being undrinkable. Beautiful rooms, beautiful location, but management is poor and for the money there is better out there.
Amazing experience. The staff are all soo friendly and give every little effort to make your experience perfect. We had some drinks and hungout by the pool with a view you could only dream of. Yes you have to go up some stairs but it is santorini, if you aren’t ready to hike some stairs then go to a different island! Close to everywhere you will need to go yet you could happily stay here all day and be content.
Very nice and lovely staff. The pictures are a bit nicer than real life. I also found that the private hot tub wasn’t so private. Only access to us, but random people walking right by the whole time. Also, if you can’t manage 100+ stairs to get there, try booking outside Oia. You also can’t quite see the sunset from your room in this hotel.
