Absolutely beautiful apartments. The pool is fantastic with amazing views. The restaurant does a lovely reasonably priced food. The owners Lisa and family are really helpful and informative. We’ve had the most amazing 2 weeks. Highly recommended.
This little gem of a resort is about 10kms from the city of Chania. It sits in a village called Daratsos and a car is recommended if you want to travel beautiful Crete. There is a bus that comes every hour (a 5 minute walk from the resort). We stayed in August for about 10 days. This resort sits on a hill with amazing views of the ocean. It is very well priced for such a slice of paradise. Amazing gardens, pool & bar. There’s Nikos Tavern (5 minute walk) down the road. Lisa and her family accommodate you with whatever is required. Lisa organized our taxi from the airport and she also organized our car hire at reasonable prices. The rooms are clean, simple, spacious and have a little kitchenette. This was a great base to see the beautiful island of Crete and if we are ever fortunate to come to Crete again, I would gladly stay here again. Thank you Lisa for accommodating us.
This place is a little jewel. The grounds are immaculately kept and abundant with flowers and olive trees. The cicadas sing, the pool is delightful and you can eat and drink under a canopy or be brought drinks when sitting by the pool. The owners were always on hand to answer questions or give advice.
However, timing is key. We arrived late June when the Cretan children had just begun their summer holidays and, as this place is open to non residents, some days were quite crowded and noisy. Perhaps worth bearing this in mind when deciding when to stay.
There are some fantastic local restaurants and bus services to most places nearby, such as Chania and beaches, which meant we didn’t need to hire a car.
We will come again but when it’s cooler. Temperatures for us here were between late twenties to late thirties but, as global temperatures are all over the place, this might be unusual. We were delighted that Aircon was available, however, this came at an extra 9 euros/night, so you might need to factor this in.
Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing time and have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful, small resort.
This is our 7th year back and we love it! The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The gardens are beautifully maintained. The pool is big with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas available. Drinks and food are available in the bar and restaurant. It’s family run, Lisa and Vanessa are always available for any queries, advice or information about where to go.
Stunning hotel with great attention to detail and well looked after outside area. I stayed for 3 months but I wish I have found it earlier to spend winter there. The kitchen was on a small side but more than enough to cook yourself. The pool is huge and always clean, the internet fast and very stable even outside of the flat. Lisa and Dmitri were extremely friendly! Highly recommend it to everyone 🙂
