We loved every minute of this dining experience. The service is the best we’ve received in Crete and the atmosphere is unmatched – we particularly loved the plate smashing! Order the sagnaki cheese with honey and baked feta to start, it’s the best we’ve ever eaten!
We have been eating here ordered mix for 2 persons, starters and drinks came pretty quickly, when finished starters we have been left with empty plates on the table for almost half an hour and nobody even bothered to come and take it away, meanwhile staff members passed near by few times, delivering food and drinks to other tables and saw table full of empty plates but did nothing, bear in mind it was around 15:00 and bar was quite empty with lots of staff members around, food though was nice but not the best i have tried on island.
So sad that I have to write this review. I came here with my girlfriend last month and we had a lovely time and the food was amazing. We returned 3 days later and the sushi wasn’t fresh and the waiter was useless.
I’ve come back to the island today for a wedding and said I had a good meal here and everyone loves seafood. 3 starters didn’t turn up, one was so late we had to say don’t worry about it.
The mains eventually turned up and two had to be returned. Over cooked prawns and undercooked risotto. Really embarrassing to tell people this place was nice and should have looked at the recent reviews regarding the service. Only one waiter was attentive, the others are completely useless just standing around. We had to top our own wine glasses up as no one was coming to our table and had to ask to have the empty places taken even after a waiter had passed our table.
Originally i wrote a 5* review and was really impressed but this was shocking and embarrassing. It costs a lot for what you get and I wouldn’t ever return. The attitude of the waiters was awful when we explained the food was bad which is terrible when it’s a customer clearly telling you the honest opinion not trying to be rude or difficult.
Definitely won’t ever return.
Well, the overall impression is good, but not exceptional.
The food is okay, but we have visited more tasty places. The service is also okay. So everything is pretty average. However, the atmosphere is great and cosy, especially the evening.
It’s a lovely family run restaurant ran by Dimitre with the best food and service. I eat kleftiko at home but these guys have the best I’ve had in Crete. I would recommend anyone coming to the island to give it a go. My favourite restaurant.
