A Culinary Paradise
Nestled right by the water, Moschonas offers diners not only stunning views but also a menu filled with fresh seafood and traditional Greek dishes. Local Charm with a Unique Twist
Cami Tussie, a delighted patron, sings the praises of the atmosphere, exclaiming, “The atmosphere was incredible!” With tables that even sit on moored fishing boats, dining at Moschonas isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. The rustic charm and welcoming ambiance create a feeling of warmth that beckons you to linger a little longer.
Fresh and Flavorful Selections
At Moschonas, diners can indulge in a variety of fresh fish dishes. Whether you opt for grilled sea bass or local sardines, every meal promises a taste of the sea. The emphasis on fresh ingredients and traditional recipes ensures that each dish is a celebration of Greek culinary heritage.

Authentic Greek Hospitality
The friendly and approachable staff at Moschonas Restaurant leave a lasting impression on visitors. Dorothy B. shared her experience of feeling warmly welcomed and treated like regulars during her two visits. This authentic hospitality, combined with the genuine Greek atmosphere, enhances the overall dining experience.
Pay Attention to Reviews
While many reviews reflect positively on the experiences at Moschonas, it’s important to keep an open mind. Not everyone has the same experience; one visitor shared a less-than-ideal encounter with service. Nonetheless, the overwhelming majority of reviews underscore the restaurant’s dedication to quality, value, and customer satisfaction.
Dining with a Budget in Mind
One of the most appealing aspects of Moschonas is the reasonable pricing. We LOVED this place, seriously the negative reviews don’t make sense. The atmosphere was incredible, the fish was SO fresh. calamari was the best we have had in Greece, such light breading. The fish was a huge huge portion. Sardines were great.
We were recommended Moschonas by friends who told us not to be out off by first impressions. Somehow it appears a bit “rough and ready”, but take that advice: the food is delicious (very soft calamari, the freshest grilled sea bass), the welcome is warm, the service is good, the prices are reasonable and the setting is amazing. Some tables are on the little boats moored beside the restaurant which is pretty unique! We had a very enjoyable lunch for half what we would have paid in some of the other (empty) harbour-side restaurants. At lunchtimes, try and get a table in the shade (or wear a hat!) – they were all taken when we arrived but I’m really glad we waited.
We walked by on our first night, and decided to sit down as it was quite busy and patrons seemed happy. The friendly owner came over and explained the menu. Definitely recommend any of the fresh fish they offer, “potatoes” that are hand cut fries, a beautiful Greek salad, and also the gyros. He will offer the white wine which we enjoyed. The first night it was only locals and no other tourists which we thought was a good sign. Everyone was so friendly and when we returned 2 days later, we were greeted like regulars. Great quality food again, and very reasonable – each time around 50 EUR for two. With two fish dishes, probably a bit more. Bring cash and enjoy! It was a great experience both times, felt very authentic, and we will definitely return when we visit Paros again.
I only read the reviews after having visited twice and was surprised about the negative ones, one of them which was from the same week. We felt rather undercharged than overcharged and we did not confirm the price before ordering.
My wife and I mistakenly chose this place for lunch today.
My wife chose lamb chops – there was absolutely no meat on the plate – each “chop” was full of fat. When we showed the waiter (refer photo for plate of fat), he advised this was a local tradition of serving the chops. We advised him the food was inedible – he just muttered something about getting the owner – nothing happened.
To top it off, my wife asked where the WC was – the owner rudely pointed out the door and basically said go and find one !!
A sad ending to our lovely visit to Naoussa
This is the only non touristy tavern at Naoussa port! It has regular traditional authentic Greek prices options and service. They even have tables inside fisher boats. It’s right by the water with the best view and as mentioned the only real Greek spot at Naoussa port. Honestly don’t understand the poor reviews. Check it out you won’t regret it! 🌻🌻
