In this presentation, we will highlight the key features, experiences, and feedback from past visitors to help you make an informed decision about your stay. From the stunning landscape and wonderful sea to the family-friendly facilities, we invite you to explore the wonders of this enchanting resort.1. Spectacular Landscape and Wonderful Sea: Leo Liberti, a past visitor, describes the landscape of Miraggio Resort as spectacular, offering breathtaking views that are sure to captivate your senses. The resort is located in a picturesque location, allowing you to unwind and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Furthermore, the resort boasts a wonderful sea, perfect for those seeking relaxation or water-based activities.2. Family-Friendly Atmosphere: Miraggio Resort is renowned for its family-friendly atmosphere. As Leo Liberti mentions, the swimming pool system is not only beautiful and functional but also well-structured to welcome babies. Families with young children can take advantage of the buffet restaurant, which offers a wide range of delicious meals suitable for all ages. Additionally, the resort provides spacious and well-arranged rooms, equipped with baby cribs and changing tables upon request.3. Beach Facilities: While the beach at Miraggio Resort offers a mix of sand and pebbles, it is important to note that access to certain areas may be challenging for those with pushchairs or mobility concerns. Leo Liberti shares their experience of encountering unstable steps that posed a risk. To ensure your safety, we advise visiting families to verify the cross-level beach facilities carefully, complain to management if they appear risky, and request to be moved to the safer “club” beach.4. Friendly Staff and Service: Leo Liberti expresses their satisfaction with the restaurant and room staff at Miraggio Resort, describing them as great. However, it is worth noting that the review mentions the need for better training in people management for the beach waiters. The resort aims to provide a high level of service, and while occasional lapses may occur, the staff at Miraggio Resort are committed to ensuring your comfort and satisfaction.5. Picturesque Location but Limited Exploration: Nina highlights the resort’s picturesque location and its beautiful surroundings. However, some guests may feel frustrated by the size of the resort and the lack of assistance to find their rooms upon check-in. It is recommended to inquire about additional guidance upon arrival to avoid any inconvenience. Furthermore, as the resort is isolated and far from nearby towns or supermarkets, guests may find it difficult to explore outside the resort or purchase drinks and other items.6. Extortionate Pricing of Drinks and Extras: Hannah Davies expresses disappointment with the pricing of drinks and added extras at Miraggio Resort. Guests should be aware that some amenities, such as the spa, may incur additional charges. It is advisable to review the resort’s pricing policy and consider your budget for extras to ensure a satisfactory experience.7. A Mixture of Opinions: Todor Sofroniev’s review highlights a negative experience with noise disturbances and cleanliness issues. While such incidents are unfortunate, it is important to acknowledge that individual experiences may vary. Miraggio Resort aims to continuously improve and provide the best service possible, taking into account guest feedback. Conclusion: Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort offers a range of amenities and experiences, making it an attractive destination for tourists. 1. My wife, our baby son, and I spent a week at the Miraggio Resort: a family hotel.

The landscape is spectacular, the sea wonderful, and the swimming pool system beautiful, functional, and well structured to welcome babies. We ate at the buffet restaurant breakfast and dinner meals. Again, this is a restaurant made for families with babies or young kids, but the food was excellent most nights, and good otherwise. The choice is extensive, and the kitchen will prepare special meals on demand. Our room was spacious and well arranged. We were provided with a large baby crib and with a baby changing table (on demand). The restaurant and room staff were great.

The beach, of sand mixed with pebbles, has three ranks of stations each of which includes two sun-beds, a beach table, and a beach umbrella. The first rank is at road level, the second is slightly lower (20cm down), and the third one is at sea level, around 60cm down from the second. Access to the first two levels is unproblematic. Access to the beach level with a pushchair is definitely problematic.

As I was reaching the beach level with the baby in my arms, one of the blocks of steps sloped downwards as I put my weight on the first step, which was covered in sand. I slipped and fell ruinously. Miraculously, I managed to hold on to my baby during the fall. He was unscathed. Since I could not use my arms to protect my own fall, I was in a lot of pain initially. Again, luckily, it was later established that nothing was broken. Given the enormous risk for our baby, our scare was enormous, and the responsibility for my fall can only be attributed to the flimsiness and lack of solid support of the steps.

Immediately after the fall, two neighbouring hotel guests supported our protestations to the hotel staff present. They said that the situation was lamentable and shameful, for both babies and aging people, forced to walk for long stretches, to the beach extremities, to avoid those dangerous banister-less cross-level facilities. Given our state of shock, we were very emotional and vocal about wanting to see a doctor and a manager, but still respectful. Then one of the hotel staff told us to “just chill”, which, to everyone’s ears, was impertinent and arrogant: it implies that the problem is the emotional response rather than the state of the beach facilities. My wife demanded an apology from the impertinent staff member, which he never conceded, even when the demand was repeated one hour after the event. Beach waiters at the Miraggio Resort might be in need better training in people management.

I advise visiting families to verify the cross-level beach facilities carefully, to complain to management if they appear risky, and demand to be moved to the safer “club” beach. We were lucky, but those facilities are a disaster waiting to happen.

On our last day at the resort we were taking a stroll with our baby (in a pushchair) at around 9:30pm, in the swimming pool area. There were some dim lights around, but the whole area was dark. As we were making our way back to the room, we perceived a large shape moving rapidly (but silently) in the dark, and crossing the bridge over the swimming pool, coming towards us very fast. It slowed down only when it was too close to us for my own comfort, and gave us a scare. As it approached us, we realized that it was an electric transportation vehicle, of the kind that the resort employs to move weights across the resort. This one, however, was travelling way faster than those I noticed during the day, and had its lights off. We stopped the driver, told him to go slower, and to switch his lights on. He laughed and said “I can’t”. We asked why, and he replied “because they are broken”, and sped off.

In conclusion: great place for many reasons, but too risky to advertise itself as family-friendly environment.

  2. The hotel is situated in a very picturesque and beautiful location. Upon check-in, they don’t always escort you to your room, and the hotel is really large, making it frustrating when you can’t find your room. They didn’t take our car to the parking lot, which again involved wandering around and wasting time. The food is diverse, and the waitstaff are polite. The bathroom door creaked terribly. It is clean and well-maintained everywhere.

  3. We were disappointed with some of the service provided. For a five star resort, parts of the experience were below par and the food was okay. What was most difficult to swallow was the extortionate pricing of drinks and added extras (including spa). As you are very isolated and miles away from a local town or supermarket it is very difficult to go outside of the resort and explore or buy drinks. It is a shame as the rooms were lovely and location beautiful but I will not be returning.

  4. We gave a second chance to the hotel. Unfortunately, we were disappointed badly again.
We took a sea view club room with pool. But…

7o’clock in the morning, every morning, there were competitions with the luggage cars. Apparently the stuff is not occupied enough or has no respect to the guests rest, because the noise was awful.
Also, the cleaning ladies have not passed through our room and terrace. There were hairs, sand, not clean enough for the 5* pretentious hotel.

Actually, the hotels in the area, even the 3*-4* are much better and pleasant than this one.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the place for people with high expectations and with a knowledge what a 5*hotel shall look and be maintained.

  5. The definition of 5*. One of the very best I have ever visited in terms of facilities, room style and decor, restaurant and resting areas. As clean as it gets with helpful staff all around. Lots to chose from if you want to relax or have an active holiday. Variety of restaurants with Portofino top of my list plus bars and drinks everywhere you go.
