Had a very memorable visit to this restaurant in Paros. The lamb was absolutely delicious and the octopus was so unique and one of the best octopus dishes I’ve ever had. Gorgeous water front view. Would recommend booking.
We have traveled much for many years in the Cyclades region and seldom, if ever have we experienced more delicate Greek food with an essential twist as on Mario’s yesterday evening. Everything was carefully prepared and beautifully arranged culminating with the lemon “bomb”. Service was also perfect. This is the future of Greek cuisine and probably one of the best places in the region.
Mario will always have a special place in my heart. Where do I start?
– We ordered an Aperol Spritz that was 95% Spritz and 5% Aperol (still orange).
– Our “Greek Salad” mixed tomatoes with tomatoes and blended in some tomatoes in between. Great!
– The cherry on top: The octopus with lentil creme arranged in a very suspicious way… see for yourself. 🐕
Mario offers nice sunset views and attentive service until the restaurant gets more crowded. Keep in mind there is a street right in front of the restaurant.
Amazing food, superb service, by the sea. Truly a must go place in parikoia. Prices also high, but this goes with the overall quality :).
One of the nicer restaurants on the island, Mario is an excellent place to get some high quality food. Starting with the Greek salad is a must, and the tomato cream pasta is worth a try. The best part of the meal was the seared tuna, as the combination of fish and other ingredients (honestly not sure what they were called) really came together in the most delicious way. The chocolate terrine for dessert was a great way to end the meal. Service was good too. A little pricey but you pay for what you get.
