Discover the Allure of Manolis Restaurant

Welcome to Manolis: First Impressions

As you step into Manolis Restaurant, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly hostess provides a pleasant welcome that sets the tone for your dining experience. Although the anticipation for a table is brief, the restaurant’s popularity can create an intense vibe, prompting some guests to feel a bit cramped.

A Mixed Bag of Experiences

The reviews of Manolis often present a mixture of experiences. While some patrons revel in their dining adventures at this popular locale, others have faced challenges. This dichotomy adds to the restaurant’s unique charm, making it a point of interest for tourists wanting to explore local cuisine.

Delectable Dishes: A Taste of Greece

For those who have had the pleasure of sampling the menu, many dishes have received high praise. Diners rave about the near-perfect pork souvlaki, burgers, and lamb chops – dishes that reflect the essence of Greek culinary tradition. This praise showcases the potential delight that awaits adventurous foodies.

Star-Crossed Meals: Epic Triumphs

Some visitors have declared their meals at Manolis as one of the best they’ve ever had. With stunning rooftop views and impeccable customer service, the restaurant becomes an unforgettable dining destination. Imagine enjoying lobster and steak, flawlessly executed for a group, while basking in a breathtaking setting.

Overcrowded but Not Overlooked

Despite its charm, some guests report feeling sardined into the seating arrangements, bringing a chaotic atmosphere to the dining experience. However, this bustling energy can also be seen as a sign of a restaurant that is cherished by locals and tourists alike, brimming with excitement and life.

Service: Rushed or Remarkable?

The quality of service at Manolis has received mixed feedback. While some diners acclaim the attentive waitstaff who ensure prompt service, others feel hurried through their meals. This variation offers a glimpse into the hustle that characterizes a popular establishment.

Culinary Misses: During the Meal

Despite the accolades, many diners have reported disappointment with specific dishes. Instances of incorrectly served items and undercooked vegetables have left some guests wanting more. This raises questions for newcomers about the best menu choices to ensure a satisfactory meal.

On the Pricey Side: Value for Money

While the dining experience comes with dazzling views and a vibrant atmosphere, some patrons argue that the meals are pricey for what is served. This feedback prompts potential visitors to weigh their dining budget against the allure of location and food.

Family-Friendly Dining: Group Gatherings

Many families flock to Manolis for group celebrations or casual outings, enamored by its rooftop location. The restaurant is considered especially accommodating for families with children, providing a place where cherished memories can be made over shared meals.

Views That Dazzle

The restaurant’s rooftop scenery is consistently highlighted as one of its most attractive features. Visitors can enjoy stunning panoramic views, making every bite of delectable food even more special as it is accompanied by the breathtaking landscape.

Local Noise and Disturbance

Certain diners commented on the noisy environment due to the close proximity of tables, which can detract from the overall feeling of relaxation. Unfortunately, this can create a less than ideal atmosphere for some who wish to enjoy a leisurely meal.

A Toast to Diversity

Amid the rolling praises and critiques, it is essential for tourists to realize that Manolis Restaurant offers a vast array of flavors and experiences that cater to many tastes. This diversity adds an element of adventure and surprises for diners.

Seeking Alternatives

While Manolis has its highlights, some guests have recommended exploring other nearby options. Visitors may want to take some time to research alternative local favorites like Alex or Stephanie’s to find those hidden gems tailored to their tastes.

  1. Pleasant welcome from lady on door. Not long to wait for a table, but seemed like they were trying to cram too many people in, like sardines in a can. Waiter service was good, and when we ordered, it didn’t take long for food to arrive. BUT…..chicken with pepper sauce, came with tomato sauce, which my partner can’t eat, so we swapped plates, and I discovered all the veg – carrots, brocoli, cauliflower – all undercooked, near raw. Beef stifado originally for me very small portion with five chips. I feel they are trying to fit too many people into too small a place. Certainly wouldn’t go back.

  2. Honestly one of the best meals of my life. Not just because of the amazing food but the atmosphere, views and customer service from a chap that couldn’t help us enough. We had 6 adults with us and two babies, we all ordered lobster and steak which to time to perfection for 6 adults is hard and trust me it was perfect. We visited various other higher rated restaurants in the area and the experience was not even close to the one we had at Manolis. If you are a family or a couple this place is perfect on the roof top. I will never forget this meal, one that really felt special. Everyone at Manolis, thank you and keep it up!

  3. Nice view but that’s where it ends.
Crammed in like sardines, wait staff can’t move without kicking your chair and if you lift your arms to cut your food, you bang elbows with the table next to you.
Incredibly long wait times for just your drink alone.
Atmosphere was absolute chaos for barely average food.
I’ve come to Greece for 30 years and this was my first encounter with a rude local, unfortunately she was practically sat in my lap while mocking me in Greek, sadly i understand Greek.
The entire place just wasn’t good, wouldn’t return here if I was paid. Go to Alex or Stephanie’s and save your money.
I won’t get back my ruined evening.

  4. Food: way too pricy for what you get. Small portions, regular taste. Stuffed mushrooms were hidious. TWO mushrooms with filling and microwave-melted cheese on top for 10€. Small piece of Halloumi with 3 or 4 pieces of vegetables for again 10€ (might have been 11€, don’t remember honestly). Souvlaki was good though, but again: 18€ for one skewer with 4 pieces of meet and a few french fries.
We had a look on other peoples food as well. Garlic cheese bread is one slice of grey bread with some cheese and garlic. You order what you get. Nothing more. Just the bare minimum.

Service: overall nice and fast. But after the we got served the food we felt like ghosts. When I put the last bit of my meal in my mouth our table got cleaned up already. I didn’t even finish chewing. Well. Time is money, right?

Ambiente: not too bad of a rooftop, not the best neither. A bit too crowded (too many tables for the available space) for my liking, but again: not only time is money, but space as well.

Bottom line: wouldn’t go again, wouldn’t recommend.
