Despite the reviews, my husband and I loved our 4-night stay at Manolia View. We had a hiccup upon arrival – the transportation that was arranged for us through the hotel could not pick us up from the airport due to road closures. This was unforeseen so we took alternative transportation.
If you are not used to the airplane noises (as they can be frequent) then this may not be the place for you. As others have mentioned, the hill from the road to the hotel is steep. If you are unable to climb the hill or do not plan on renting a vehicle then you may want to go more local. We rented an ATV to get across the island so we had no problem getting to and from the hotel. For us, the views we got from this hotel were worth the steep road.
We were greeted by the receptionist, Maria, who was incredibly lovely during our stay. She encouraged us to try new things each day and provided us with her suggestions. We wouldn’t have discovered the places we saw without Maria. The evening receptionist, Christos, was also really kind and gave us insight on the island as well. We had fun sharing stories and experiences with him.
Manolia view was a good choice of accommodation to spend our time on Mykonos. Considering the high prices that Mykonos is renowned for, our apartment was of an acceptable standard for the price we paid. Basic but satisfied. Money doesn’t go very far on this fabulous island. The cleaning standard was on point and the apartment always felt very clean.
The pool area, the view and reception within this accommodation are absolutely amazing.
I’d highly recommend a stay at Manolia View. I’d say the accommodation itself is a high rating of four stars. But the staff and the service provided definitely warrant 5 star appraisal. Maria, the receptionist is an asset to the business. Always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that all your needs are met. We were very satisfied with the service which she provided. An absolutely charming character to welcome you to a beautiful spot on Mykonos.
Thank you to all at Manolia for the perfect holiday experience. What a great base to explore the island and an incredible spot to relax in also.
We spend 3 nights in Mykonos at this hotel. We had a very warm welcome from Maria who gave us many information about the island. The room was very clean and housekeeping was made every day, it was spacious, and with a nice view. The swimming pool we share with other guests is very nice. The view of the hotel is awesome with a gorgeous sunset every night. About bad points : the road to join the hotel is very high and not very practicable. We had a 125 scooter but we were not safe going up the hill. We would have enjoyed some fast food at night instead of going out, and the room was very very noisy. That’s a pity. A big party was organized to the room next to us that prevent us from sleeping. I do understand that this kind of thing is allowed in hotel. We chose a quiet hotel, far from bars and party entertainments. We would have enjoyed good and quiet night. Also, even without party, the room was noisy.
To conclude is was quiet good (for sure the great view!! ) but I am not sure I will plan again in this hotel.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Everything about the hotel is beautiful. The people, the view, the atmosphere…everything was to perfection and will definitely be coming back.
I recently stayed 5 nights at Manolia View. Katerina & Petroula always met me with a warm smile and a happy greeting. The “View” is spectacular. It makes most sense to have a rental car but if not, they will accommodate your airport runs for a small & reasonable charge. The room I had was very clean, with a kitchenette that I didn’t really use except for sandwich making. The shower had plenty of hot water, even for long showers. The bed was comfortable and I slept well, however the mattress was extremely firm. I like that. And from what I found out by asking others, it’s how most beds and cushions are. Nice and firm.
There are many, many places one can stay for a visit in Mykonos. It’s nice to have found Manolia View and you won’t be let down.
