12 days in May in one of the small apartments of Lyristis. Extremely nice hosts! Very friendly atmosphere. Nice swimming pool. We quickly felt at home. Once a week a large BBQ, of course with the host himself behind the grill.
What is striking here is that some of the guests return every year and are welcomed like old friends.
Our apartment was really nice. Appearance not luxurious or glamorous, but everything works and everything is super clean and tidy. Cleaning takes place every day and to our surprise even the dishes were done! 😁 Bathroom and shower are great. Bed is sufficient. Kitchen equipment is basic, but that keeps the options clear and that is actually nice during the holiday. Buy a little chef’s knife 🔪with your first grocery shopping and everything will be fine (or if you’re lucky….we left ours behind).
Faliraki is a very busy seaside resort with lots of drinks, food and entertainment of all kinds. In short… Faliraki makes noise. The traffic too. Usually we are very sensitive to that but the distance from the hustle and bustle is just big enough that it doesn’t bother you much. Moreover, the apartment has air conditioning, so at night you can close the window if you want and you will hardly hear the noise outside.
The great thing about Faliraki, even if you are not a fan of simple entertainment, is that it is a great base to explore the island. You can rent a car at numerous places, but all bus lines from the east side also pass by. You are close to the old city and that is really worth it. The sandy beach is a fifteen-minute walk. The beautiful bays are a bit further (over an hour) but the bus stops everywhere, including at the bays.
Had a great 7 day stay at Lyristis Studios & Apartments.
We had a studio for 3 persons (traveling with 2) with Kitchenette, Bathroom and a good size balcony. It looked great and everyday the woman cleaning came in to keep it sanitary (she was amazingly sweet). The complex has a nice pool with enough sunbeds and nice outside bar. Nextdoor is a small supermarket with all the essentials and lovely people. Normally checkout is at 12, our transfer was planned for 15:30 and with great communication we could stay a bit longer in the studio. Thanks to the amazing people/host for our great vacation 🌞.
We had a great service when we arrived late in the evening. The service and hospitality were perfect. The room/studio was cleaned every day. The owners advices us in everything if we needed. The food at the hotel was great, also the real Greek coffee was authentic and perfect!! Wednesday there is a weekly barbecue, which we enjoyed a lot. It almost felt like we were having dinner with family and friends.
We really would like to recommend this hotel!!
It might be a 2 star, but we think the whole service is worth 5 stars!! Definitely!!
Good location, to beach only 250 m, studio has a bedroom and kitchen, close to pool bar and convencional store. But….at kitchen I found only basic dishes, two coffee cups, two glasses, 1 pan, 1 pot. The table very small, no wine glasses, no beer glasses, no cutting board, the recycle bin I got only when asked for it on owner, no kitchen towels, no kitchen sink wipes, no racks or hooks at bathroom for clothes, finally we have paid 20 EUR for luggage storage for 3 hours from checkout to airport bus shuttle arrived. Also at nights mosquitos ate us licking. At 7-8 AM the owners dog waked up us everyday.
The best hotel we could imagine. The service and the room was perfect! We had to checkout in the morning, but we forgot and the host wouldn’t mind. They where so kind
