Welcome to the Loriet Hotel: Your Ideal Getaway

Nestled in the heart of Mytilene, the Loriet Hotel awaits to offer you an unforgettable holiday experience. This charming boutique hotel is renowned for its rich history, delightful amenities, and tranquil atmosphere. Whether you seek relaxation or adventure, the Loriet serves as the perfect launchpad for your exploration of the island.

A Blend of History and Modern Comfort

The Loriet Hotel is housed in a beautifully preserved historical mansion, allowing guests to immerse themselves in authentic local charm. The elegant architecture and surrounding gardens create a picturesque ambiance, making your stay feel both luxurious and steeped in tradition. Enjoy unique accommodations that honor the history of Lesvos while providing modern comforts.

Swimming Pool Rules: A Point of Contention

While the hotel features a stunning swimming pool, be aware that it is accessible only after 12 PM. This has been a common critique among guests, as the extreme heat during midday makes pool access impractical. Families, especially those with children eager for a swim, may find this policy challenging.

Breakfast Delights: A Taste of Tradition

The breakfast at the Loriet Hotel garners high praise from guests who appreciate the variety and quality offered. While some find it delightful, others consider it slightly overrated. Nevertheless, the delicious carrot cake has received a special mention, making it a must-try during your stay.

Spacious Accommodations: Comfort Meets Cleanliness

Guests frequently highlight the spacious rooms at the Loriet Hotel, which boast an inviting atmosphere. However, some guests have pointed out cleanliness issues, particularly with stains in the bathrooms. This feedback suggests that while the hotel provides ample space and comfort, attention to cleaning details could enhance the overall experience.

Snack Bar Offerings: Room for Improvement

The poolside snack bar, while convenient, has received mixed reviews from patrons. With some believing it lacks variety and quality, it’s an area that could benefit from enhancement to ensure visitors have a satisfying dining experience nearby the pool.

Beverage Pricing: A Mixed Bag

While the pricing for most items at the hotel is deemed reasonable, guests have noted that alcoholic beverages, particularly beer, can be pricey—averaging $6.50 for a 330ml bottle. This insight is valuable for those looking to budget their holiday expenses while enjoying the hotel’s offerings.

Easy Transportation: Exploring Made Simple

The Loriet Hotel is conveniently located, making transportation to nearby attractions a breeze. With a taxi service costing approximately 5 Euros plus a small call fee to the hotel, guests can easily navigate the surrounding area and explore the rich offerings of Mytilene.

Family Friendly Vibes: With Some Exceptions

The Loriet Hotel is generally recommended as a family-friendly destination, boasting spacious accommodations and a welcoming environment. However, the pool accessibility issue for younger guests may pose challenges for families counting on it for respite from the heat.

Breakfast Room: A Delightful Dining Atmosphere

The breakfast room at the Loriet Hotel creates a delightful experience for guests. The ambiance is appreciated for its authenticity, and many find joy in dining amid the historical decor that adds a unique touch to the morning routine.

Guest Reception: Service with a Smile

Visitors have consistently praised the friendly and professional staff at the Loriet Hotel. From quick check-ins and check-outs to attentive service, the hotel’s employees contribute to an overall enjoyable experience, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and well cared for throughout their stay.

Many guests describe their stays at the Loriet as magical. The charm of the main house, combined with the enchanting surroundings, creates a serene environment that makes it easy to unwind and enjoy your vacation. It’s an experience that captivates both first-time visitors and returning guests alike.

Discover Local Culture: Museums Nearby

An exciting opportunity for guests is the chance to explore the nearby Theophilos and Teriade Museums. Enrich your cultural knowledge and discover the artistic heritage of the island, all within a short distance from the hotel—an excellent addition to any itinerary.

Outdoor Adventures: Beaches Await

While the Loriet boasts a serene garden and inviting pool, guests are encouraged to explore nearby beaches for a full day of sun and sand. Cross the street for immediate access to the sea or venture further to find idyllic beaches that Mytilene has to offer.

  1. 👙🌴😑 They have a ridiculous rules like you can’t get in to the pool before 12 pm!! It’s the worst time to be outside and to be in the pool because of the extreme heat and the sunlights are the most dangerous between 11 am to 3 pm. It’s not recommended to be under sun during these times at summer. Yet this hotel doesn’t have a direct access to the sea it makes it even more unreasonable for their rule. If we could have gone to the sea we can skip the pool until the time they let you in. If you have kids impatient to get in the pool, I don’t recommend this place because we relied on the pool when we decided to book this place.

🍳 I read a lot of good reviews about breakfast of this place. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad but it was nothing special. We love their carrot cake the most.

🧽 The rooms are spacious but there are a lot of stains on the bathroom floor, and that makes you feel like it’s dirty even though it was clean.

🍟The snack bar is also not so strong in the pool.

🍺 Most things have reasonable price but the beers are pricey in my opinion. You pay $6.5 for 330ml beer.

🚕 Transportation is easy the taxi cost 5 Euro + 2 fee to call to the hotel.

🐣 Family friendly hotel (except the pool situation 🥲🙄)

  2. Breakfast consists of various products. Pastry, jam and other desserts were delicious. The room where breakfast was served was very authentic and enjoyable. The historical texture of the mansion where you stay is preserved. It is a very peaceful, quiet and pleasant facility. Since we stayed in the attic, we could see the sky through a small window. The receptionist was calm and did his job well. Check in and check out was quick. It would be beneficial to pay more attention to general cleaning rules. The coffees were weak in taste. I would have preferred the eggs to be warm and not overcooked.

  3. Perfect place to land! There’s something very special about this entire place. We were delighted to be able to stay in the main house this trip.

It is absolutely magical–and breakfast inside in the great room was fabulous. Before leaving the area, we also had a chance to visit Theophilos and Teriade Museums, which I hadn’t been to for many years. (Down the road back towards the airport and up to the right)

The Theophilos Museum is a remarkable place too: the only museum I know that is in the middle of an Olive Grove!

I’ve lived on Lesvos on and off for over 30 years, and the Loriet is a gem of the island.
    Thank you!

  4. One of the best boutique hotels in Mytilene. The rooms were spacious, the staff was super friendly and the pool was great . The Greek salad I had at the pool bar was disappointing and too expensive. The breakfast was great though. You need a car or need to take a taxi to go to the town.

  5. The facility, built in an old historical mansion and its garden, is really impressive. We stayed in a suite in the mansion. It was a wonderful and original decorated room. The staff is very friendly, the poolside is a very nice place and the food is great. You can cross the street in front of the hotel and swim in the sea, but I suggest you go to the beach nearby.
