Why Choose Limni Beach Glyko?
Limni Beach Glyko stands out due to its unique charm and secluded nature. Unlike more touristy destinations, Glyko offers a peaceful retreat where you can unwind, soak up the sun, and reconnect with nature in a serene environment.
Perfect for Families
The beach hosts a shallow side that makes it ideal for young children. Families can enjoy quality time in the gentle surf while allowing their little ones to frolic safely, making it a favored destination for parents with kids.
Boat Rentals for Adventure Lovers
For those looking to explore more of Corfu’s coast, renting a boat for the day is a popular choice. As one visitor mentioned, the dual-sided beach provides varied experiences, ensuring everyone can find their little slice of paradise.
Convenient Boat Taxis
If you don’t have access to a boat, consider the suggested boat taxis. These convenient options deliver you right to the beach without the physically taxing hike, offering a scenic ride that enhances your overall experience.
The Steep Descent
While the journey by foot presents a bit of a challenge—including a steep, winding path—it’s an adventure worth taking. The descent may be strenuous, but it heightens the anticipation of reaching the stunning beach.
A Taste of Refreshment
Visitors rave about the quirky "canteen boat" that serves delicious drinks right on the beach. Whether you’re craving refreshing beverages or hot snacks, you’ll find just what you need to keep you fueled for a day of fun in the sun.
Captivating Scenery and Viewpoints
Hiking to the nearby viewpoints offers spectacular panoramas of the coastline. The multiple paths lead to breathtaking vistas, perfect for photography enthusiasts eager to capture the unspoiled beauty of Corfu.
Discovering Secluded Spots
Don’t forget to explore the secluded Klimatia beach located to the northeast. It’s a little less accessible, but the tranquility and pristine beauty make the extra effort worthwhile.
Be Mindful of Nature
While it’s essential to enjoy the underwater world, visitors should exercise caution. Reports of sea urchins highlight the importance of wearing water shoes to protect your feet while exploring the marine life.
Hidden from the Crowds
Limni Beach Glyko is beloved for its lesser-known status. Visitors looking to escape the fray of larger beaches will appreciate the tranquility offered here, making it feel like a personal retreat rather than a bustling tourist hub.
Arriving Early: Your Best Bet
Parking on the approach can be tricky, often necessitating the navigation of tight roads on Google Maps. Therefore, we recommend arriving early to secure a good spot and enjoy a quieter beach experience.
Affordable Relaxation
With loungers available for a modest €5, it’s economical to ensure your comfort at the beach. Sit back, relax, and relish the soothing sounds of the waves with ease.
A Friendly Feline Companion
One unique charm of Limni Beach Glyko is a friendly cat that seems to have made the beach its home. For animal lovers, bringing some treats to share with this affectionate feline adds another layer of joy to the visit.
The Beauty of Pebble Beaches
While Glyko may not offer sandy shores, the pebble-strewn landscape has its own allure. The unique texture can be a pleasure underfoot, and the pebbles create a serene sound as the waves lap against them.
Explore Nearby Caves
For the adventurous spirits, the beach features a small cave that is easily accessible for exploration. It’s a delightful spot for discovering unique rock formations and enjoying a sense of mystery.
Discovering Surrounding Islands
Don’t miss the chance to visit the small island connected to the beach. It serves as a spectacular photo opportunity, offering postcard-worthy views of the coastline and surrounding landscape.

We rented a boat the whole day and found Limbi beach the best one for us, as it has 2 sides and the shallow side is perfect for small kids.
There came also many visitors by boat taxis, which I would recommend, if you don’t have your own boat, as the way on foot is steep and exhausting.
We liked the crystal clear waters, the quirky “canteen boat” visit, where you can get nice hot or cold drinks 👌, the several paths up for taking pictures at viewpoints or to go to the secluded Klimatia beach (NE).
Would recommend to be attentive or bring water shoes as we found some sea urchins
Hands down my fav. beach in Corfu. Far more hidden than some of the main beaches and less touristy. Also not as far to walk down (if you park as far as you can drive). Distance is 570m and 12 minutes (coming back up). Parking is fine but you do have to navigate with google maps on some tight roads so advise to get there early. Take everything you need with you. Loungers only cost €5 per lounger. Beach is mostly pebbles. There is a sweet cat that seems to live there and only wants love. Might be nice to take it some treats if you want to. Gorgeous water, enjoy the swimming!
Personally i think this is the best beach in Corfu. Its small but not too crowded. There is a small cave you can easily get to without swimming. You can go to the small island that’s connected to the beach and take very good photos from up there. Google maps will show you a way to this beach but when you get to a certain point you will see a “private road” sign and you’ll need to take the road next to it going upward. Once you’re up there you’ll eventually see a path going downward into the woods and you’ll get to it from there. Its a bit of a hike but definetly worth the view.
Amazing beach with lots of parking space available at the top. The climb down is okay but back up can be tricky. Very steep and exhausting but definitely worth your time.
Beautiful beach ruined by the flocks of people literally covering the entire beach area and by the boats docking (engines on) on the shore to constantly unload tourists. Not to mention the rubbish accumulating on the small beach.
