This is a really lovely place to stay. The rooms are clean and simply and tastefully furnished, including a kitchenette with kettle, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. It overlooks a beautiful square and is so conveniently located in the old town close to the harbour and an easy walk to a beach and to local buses and the main bus station. Agelliki, the proprietor, is very helpful and offers advice about places to eat, visit and so on. I have stayed here several times, both in a double and in the single room and cannot fault it.
Very clean and nice room. Aggeliki is a very nice host and gave us many tips where to go around Chania. Unfortunately a lot of tavernas are closed the time we were in Chania.
We had the absolute pleasure to stay at Lidra Rooms with my partner this summer and be accommodated by Aggeliki.
The rooms are what you would describe as value for money, clean, well equipped and in the heart of the old town. Everything is in walkable distance and the rooms are literally 2 minutes on foot from the iconic old port.
However, what makes Lidra Rooms truly special is not the great location nor the rooms. It is very rare to meet someone so authentically kind as Aggeliki. She was always there to assist with any queries while treating all clients as friends, giving you a good taste of Cretan hospitality. We will definitely come back!
Very nice address. Clean and modern rooms well equipped (ac, fan) and not too expensive right in the old town of Chania. The landlord is extremely kind, friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is really loud though (especially during the night), so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet stay. In addition, is quite difficult to park a car in Chania and there is no public parking near the flat even if it was written on booking that a public park was available. We had to park at 10-15min away
Charming place to stay in the heart of Old Town Chania. Our host Aggeliki was lovely and had excellent recommendations for restaurants and bakeries to “eat like the locals”. There is a full kitchenette in the room with a nespresso machine and filter coffee maker which was awesome to prep for our early morning excursions around Crete. Highly recommend this place to stay to be close to the action in Old Town. It does get loud at night, which we didn’t mind at all as downtown Vancouver inhabitants, but if you are someone that wouldn’t like this I would recommend not staying in Old Town near the main streets.
