Currently staying here now, the hotel location is amazing literally step out of the bar/restaurant and onto a clean sandy beach, hotel room was clean and modern, serviced everyday to a high standard, staff were amazing and friendly from front desk to waiters to cleaners, food was nice, atmosphere was very laid back and happy, short 10 minute walk along the beach into the hustle and bustle of the centre. Small harbour opposite hotel offering all the usual trips, and the water taxi to the old town is worth the trip. Will definitely book here again and get a seaview room.
A mixed experience. Firstly the positive. A fabulous location where the ground level restaurant is literally on the beach with the waves lapping only 20 metres away. A truly lovely experience having your breakfast, lunch or dinner in such beautiful surroundings. Also the hotel is close to the centre unlike the majority of hotels in Faliraki that are some distance from the centre. Now for the less positive, my initial experience was very disappointing. Having travelled all day and arriving around midnight we were told with no apology that there was no room for us and was taxied to a nearby hotel. Whilst we were not financially impacted we effectively lost a morning of our short holiday until a room became available again. I some recognition of our inconvenience or even an apology and maybe a small gratuity in some way, an upgrade, a meal or even a drink, but nothing was offered. I found the attitude of the manager off-hand, and bordering on rude and certainly there was no recognition of the poor service given. The room shown to us was fine in size but with hairs in the bed, lack of towels, no safe, and a malfunctioning air con, we were considering moving. Breakfasts were at best adequate but the staff service at meal times was good. This is a limited 3 star hotel, in a 5 star location. Will try to find another hotel in a similar location next time.
Great service, stunning food, mix grill for 2 is out of this world, I’ve had two of these with my wife, and I don’t really do reviews but since the food and service has been amazing I felt as if I had to. There have been 7 of us, and not one of the meals has been bad. it’s all been lovely. All I want to do is keep coming here. We also have kids, and they make the kids smile and entertain them, and they go out their way to give the kids the food they want. All staff and all food is out of this world, so thank you for making mine and my families holiday perfect.
By far the worst cleaned hotel I have ever stayed in. In a beach hotel you can expect sand everywhere, but not leaking shower taps, mold, dust, stains, hair etc. The location and bay view are absolutely stunning, but sleeping is close to impossible on the rock hard mattresses. Airconditioning and fridge work, but covers and shelves are broken, no maintenance done here in a long time. Staff is not interested and unwilling or unable to help, their main focus is with the bar/restaurant as also non-hotel guests come to dine, so there is money to be made. I have stayed in much cleaner more comfortable and cheaper youth hostels, this place is unworthy their claimed 3 stars… my strong advice: consider not booking this hotel.
originally booked Haven Beach Hotel but due to construction had to switch to Lido Star last minute. super frustrating… first room we had was on the ground floor right next to the terrace/kitchen, which was noisy until late and early in the morning. airconditioning didn’t work so we switched rooms. again, no AC and when we asked for help, were told it must be our own fault. screen door was broken so had dozens of mosquitos in our room, beds were old and horrible, wifi only worked on the ground level. cannot recommended this hotel at all. only good thing about it was the location, it’s a few minutes beach walk to the busier area of faliraki.
