  1. We had a delicious meal at Leon today. The atmosphere felt authentic, the hosts were very friendly, and the food was delicious. We had a fresh Greek salad (the tomatoes were full of flavour and the feta was fantastic); tasty saganaki, a local specialty snail dish (not speaking the language, I’m not certain of the Greek name) which had a flavourful broth with tomatoes and some hearty greens in it. The host brought out an additional taste of another local specialty stew of potatoes, peas and carrots which had a nice hearty flavour. The local white wine we sampled was also delicious. We’re so glad we chose to stop and share a meal at Leon…we definitely recommend it for those wanting to experience local home cooked cuisine while visiting the island of Samos!

  2. ΝΤΡΟΠΗ ΤΟΥΣ! Shame on them to serve such food! Very disappointing as at winter time the food was delicious but now in the summer season they don’t seem to care. The biftekia were very bad quality of meat and served burned! We didn’t eat any of them and neither the cats 🐈 did, which were wondering around the square of Platanos. The pork stake was the worst ever in my life! Also was served burned and nobody could chew it! The pork sticks (kalamakia), very bad in quality… you can definitely eat much better anywhere else! Very dissatisfied and never going back again ☹️
The service was done from two lovely and very young kids who were the only ones who knew how to do their job well 👏
