We visited this place 4 times while our stay in the nearby hotel.
Found it on the maps, and didn’t regret it!
Located slightly away from the main road, it is a hidden gem.
It’s a family run taverna, boasting rustic charm, very cosy and clean, and serving authentic food.
The front of the house is two lovely ladies, mother and daughter.
They will look after you ❤️
Maria, the mother, also makes lovely deserts and beautiful homemade liquor, while the dad is the chef.
I highly recommend visiting this lovely place and am looking forward to be back there one day!
This place is totally worth a visit. It’s super VIP and you have to go find it. Down an ally off the main street. If you know you know. Not some tourist trap serving the same food as everyone else. Get out of old town and go find this gem in Rhodes. You won’t regret it. Family owned and operated for decades. Fresh seafood(and great meat dishes!!) made and served with love. You can’t come to Rhodes without eating here before you leave. In fact I’m heading there again right now.
We visited here twice during our time in Ixia and it was incredible! All of the food was perfection; we particularly enjoyed the local breads which were all warm and fresh and beautiful with oil and vinegar, as well as the traditional greek cheese, Talagani (a waaaaaay better version of halloumi; similar flavour but without the squeak!) I had the homemade moussaka the first visit and it was by far the best moussaka I’ve ever had; highly recommended!
The staff are so lovely and welcoming too which made the experience even more enjoyable.
what a great restaurant! it is quite hard to find a genuine not touristic restaurant in Rhodes and this is one of them. the food is varied and you can feel the chef touch in each dish. everything is fresh, the portions are large and delicious. the homemade deserts were really good and great service and atmosphere.
