Regular place, well cooked food, restaurant is mostly focused on fish dishes, has variety of local sea products. All dishes were fresh and tasty. The only thing a little surprised me is emptyness – not so much people. All of the rest is fine and acceptable.
This place is amazing. We had the boiled greens, fresh fried calamari, the cretan salad with a soft cretan cheese to die for!!!
For main dish, the owner suggested the fish of the day, sea bream (fagri) and linguine in the a creamy fish sauce…absolutely delicious 😋!
The house also treated us the local halva with ice cream…double yuuum!
We will be back for sure!
Thank you “Λαδοκολα”!
If you’re looking for a charming spot to enjoy lunch in the heart of Heraklion, I highly recommend Ladokolla. Nestled in the city, this cozy terrace offers a shaded and tranquil setting that’s perfect for a relaxing meal.
During my visit, I indulged in some local fish and a delightful pasta with shrimp. Even though the shrimp were frozen, they still had a fantastic flavor that complemented the dish wonderfully. The combination of fresh, local ingredients and the restaurant’s inviting ambiance made for a memorable dining experience.
Great Restaurant with excellent kitchen and pleasant Service. We had 2 starter plates (grilled calamaris with sauce and greek pasta with crayfish, both fesh) as well as a grilled amberjack as main dish with grilled vegetables. You get a desert for free at the end. Overall great food – would go there anytime again. Local produces bottle of wine for 22€ after recommendation – delicous. Overall we paid 90€ which is a fair price considering the quality and taste of the food! Fresh or frozen ingredients are labelled on the menu.
Had lunch here recently, while on holiday in Crete. The sardines were fine, well cooked and nicely seasoned. Octopus with fava was excellent, one of the most flavoursome meals I’ve eaten. Unfortunately the side dish of roasted vegetables was way over cooked, the mushrooms were so bad they were inedible, with the courgettes and aubergine reduced to skin and mush. Pointed it out to the waitress, who responded with ‘ok’. However, this didn’t spoil the overall experience. Would I eat here again? Yes, but without the veg…..
