Fabulous week at kontessa and very relaxing around the pool by day and so quiet at night … location is perfect for exploring in all directions with a supermarket 5 mins walk away and only about 10 minutes walk to either the beach, or the small fishing port and the old town in the hills only 30 mins walk … this end of kefalos called ” kamari ” is just so chilled out but with a good choice of restaurants and small bars … pool area is huge with many sunbeds and a lovely view … the owner and his team were all very nice, the rooms not modern but very nice, spacious and cleaned well everyday , for a sensible price these apartments were a great choice and we will be back next time on Kos
Lovely place to stay, nice and clean. Cleaner pops in every day, she is very helpful and friendly. The pool side area is great. Snacks and drinks available throughout the day are managed by ‘Popeye’ who again is very helpful and friendly. The apartments are set back from the main street but only by about 100 meters. Lots of restaurants and a few bars well within staggering distance.
Very basic room but does the job. Pool nice. Snack bar not really worth the effort (couple of hours a day)
Had a lovely few days in kefalos, very clean rooms and the pool is pretty large in case you dont want to go to the sea- which is definitely in a walkable distance
We stayed here for two weeks in August 2015. Caryl was the British girl running the pool bar and she was incredibly helpful and friendly. The apartments were basic but spacious, clean and well equipped. The pool and surrounding area were clean and a good size for the complex.
Kefalos is a lovely friendly resort with many excellent restaurants, good beaches and lots of boat trips etc to keep the kids going, we all went handlining and caught a tin of sardines and a bottle of wine before a lovely beach barbecue.
