Definitely try to have a meal in Klimataria, under the pergola of the grapevine. They serve the best moussaka ever tasted in a Greek taverna! The beef stew melted in the mouth. Bread was tastefully scented with cumin and the table vase full of sweet scented geranium. Its a family place and that explains the quality, the atmosphere and the really welcoming stuff.
Unfortunately very disappointing. Average food, terribly slow service (had to go to the kitchen to speak to the waiter twice), took them good twenty minutes to realise that they had ran out of food options, expensive (compared to other restaurants on the island), small portions. On top of that, ants crawling on the tables and cockroaches on the floor. It’s a shame, because the location is nice.
Really Enjoyed eating here. The local dishes they make were great. Service was good regardless of expectations don’t forget Ikaria mode. The local wine fantastic. If you get the dishes of the day can’t go wrong .

However, both the dishes we had on a second visit were not to our taste, which was more down to us than them.

The location is great, in the yard and under some trees. The food though was average with not much love to the detail… We love the Greek (also simple) cuisine and have tasted better ones than this.
